Got this as a gift for my UK lovin' brother. Needless to say, he LOVED it! I wasn't there when it was opened or used, so I can't rate that, but based on his reaction, it was definitely worth purchasing!

It's never to early to get them ready for their first game at DKR. I ordered the Officially Licensed Texas Longhorns checkers from MasterPieces. The game comes in a regular quality board game box, not a cheap box. The board is rectangular and made to look like a football field, so the square checkers portion of the board is smaller than our regular checkers board. I measure the whole board at around 21-3/8" x 13". The smaller size doesn't effect play at all. The smaller size means the game is even more portable. Take it wherever you want to play. If you need them, the box included game instructions. The dark pieces look more brown than burnt orange, but that's ok. The white helmets serve as the "king". They snap into place on the underside of the checkers. They seem to click-in better in one direction than the other. All we're missing is a miniature Bevo! The game was around $20 when I ordered it. I find this to be a good value for an Officially Licensed product from a USA company. The board and pieces are a little smaller than the traditional set, but the quality is comparable to a regular checkers game, so from a durability standpoint it should offer years of fun. Hook 'em horns!
