Very impressive and could be even better
tl;dr - THIS REQUIRES A 2.4 GHZ WIRELESS NETWORK! That info sadly is not obvious on the product listing but is important to check before purchasing. We are using this with a 14" thick Serta iComfort foam mattress so I think it it can detect through that it could work on anything. I really think this is close to a 4-4.5 star but gave it a 5 to offset some of the truly stupid 1-star reviews. Now for the detail...So my wife and I briefly had a Sleep Number bed with their tracking app and while not perfect I grew to like it. Ended up not liking the bed so much so it is being returned but I was really craving that data so I found this thing after seeing a number of other devices that seemed to range from $300-700 for 2 sleepers whereas this guy is under $100 and looked to give me even more than the Sleep IQ did. That is why I bought it and so far it's been pretty great, but the Sleep IQ did work with my Nest and could lower and raise my thermostat which this cannot currently do however it does support basic Alexa integration so maybe one day.Anyhow, the whole thing took about 30 minutes to set up. One thing to be aware of is that the processor box does not work with 5 GHz wireless networks. I'm sure this saved them a few bucks, but I also bet that is what 99% of the complaints in this review are about because it isn't clearly noted on the product page and even then a lot of people may not understand the technicalities of their router especially if it is ISP provided. The setup process was pretty painless but I did hit a snag during setup where the processor was having trouble connecting to my WiFi network. I solved it by unplugging/re-plugging the processor and relaunching the app after which it connected no problem. Yes you have to create a special account (no FB/Google linking) but it's really no big deal. If you want to add a second sleeper you generate a link from within the app and it sends them an email. My wife had no problem with this. Unlike the Sleep Number, I can not see my Wife's data and she can't see mine. I'm not sure I care one way or another but just FYI. Also, yes there is an optional $30/year "premium" tier for the app but it seems completely superfluous. The big selling point is unlimited data storage for long-term (greater than 1y) analysis and some sleep coaching stuff. The first night's report doesn't come out until "18 hours after initial setup" which seems oddly specific and a bit strange but we did get our report and I loved it. It gives me everything I had with Sleep IQ except with more detail AND crucially, it explains the various readings, what is normal, and what factors affect your overall score which the other system didn't do. My wife tried to use the wake up alarm and it did not go off the first night for some reason so that may be something to watch out for but it may have also been because it was the first night. All in all, this seems like a really great product, especially for $100 which covers 2 people. Contrary to what others have said I found the App very well designed and helpful, down to them explaining exactly why they need certain permissions on my phone. I certainly wouldn't sub this out for any medical grade device if you need it for health reasons but if you're just trying to track you sleep vitals for fun or self improvement then this is a great thing. Hopefully they add even more features via software but honestly I already feel like I got my money's worth!

Best sleep tracker on the market!
This product comes with an app. I made the mistake of setting up the sleep tracker using the paper manual when the app teaches you step by step. Although I was able to do it with the manual easily, the app was much thorough and intuitive. Setup overall was easy. There is initial setup for both my partner and I in regards to our sleep goals and duration but after initial setup, the tracker just track our sleep even without us telling it manually we’re going to bed. My partner likes to use the manual mode but for me, I just like to go straight to bed and let it to the rest. Otherwise, I wake up, leave the bed or tell the app I’m awake and my report is generated on the app and I get one sent to my email. This is by far the best product I’ve purchased in a while. There’s even a sleep coach that guides you on your sleep pattern and “coaches” you how to improve and achieve your goals. Did I mention there’s no subscription based services, I mean there is but as a stand-alone product, it gives you everything I mentioned above. You can use the subscription but I believe that the product itself sold me already. Fantastic! For one product I’m happy it can track sleep for you compared to other sleep trackers on the market

Frustrating and Sad
I had high hopes for this sleep tracker app because I don't sleep well. No matter what I tried or how many times I tried, the app setup wouldn't work on my moto g power phone or my husband's moto g power 21 phone. I followed all of the customer support email's instructions, checked to see if my wifi router was in the list of ones that aren't compatible, and tried to make it work for a week before giving up and returning it. I would've loved to use it to track my sleep patterns, but I'll have to start over and look for something else.

Works well enough
This monitor does what it says it does. I have a Fitbit Charge 2 so I compared my data with this monitor and their only similarities are the time of falling asleep and morning wake up time. Every thing else (heart rate, phases, time awake,...) have a lot of variations. There are differences of 30-60mins of average sleep time which is quite a lot. The monitor seems to think that I sleep more than my Fitbit.I have woken up a few nights and checked the clock to verify the next morning if the monitor tracked it and it didn't most of the times. My Fitbit averages my times awake at 28x for 1h25 while this monitor averages it to 2x for 25mins.Other than that, it's a fun gadget to have but you can't take any of it too seriously.
