Perfect first flatware
Nice first flatware for children. Smaller three pieces for beginners with a little larger set for toddler/grade school years. Sturdy and hold up well. I have purchased many sets of Oneida baby/child flatware. It is my go to baby shower gift. Price is pretty reasonable.

Perfect for little hands!
I had an old set of kid-sized flatware from when I was young and looked with no luck in several brick and mortar stores to try to add to that set. Since I knew Oneida was a great brand from previous experience, I thought this might be a good buy. It was a great decision. Pros: 1. I love that this comes with several sizes. This is awesome as a set for one child, but it's great for multiple kids too! It's perfectly sized for my 18m old and 4 year old. They use these all the time. 2. These are very durable. My kids throw and drop stuff...a lot. These have never bent or looked dinged up. 3. The knife actually works pretty well while also not being too sharp. My 4yo can easily cut through fruit or bread. 4. They aren't hideous and cartoony. I love that they are actual flatware. It's so hard to find that in kid-size now! Cons 1. We didn't get much use out of the smallest spoon. It really is tiny. It'd be great if you spoon feed a small baby, but isn't useful if you're not feeding purees to a small baby. By the time mine were using spoons, that one was just too small to be useful. 2. This set is almost too many pieces. I wish I could've found it with just the 3 large pieces or just the small fork and spoon. I didn't see that option anywhere on Amazon when I bought this or I probably would've just bought like 4 sets of the larger size because fairly soon my younger kid will be able to use the bigger one too and to buy more I'll have to get this whole set. Not a huge deal, just a bit annoying. 3. I only saw like 2 styles available. I don't particularly care that they don't match my current adult-sized flatware, but some people might. Overall, these are great! I wish there were more styles available and an option to just by the larger 3-piece set, but I definitely would buy this again and we use it all the time.

Great little spoon!
6 years ago, I purchased a set of munchkin brand silverware set that came with a feeding spoon like this. That set now no long exists and I lost that spoon... which had become the only desert spoon I would use 🤣 Some weird sensory thing I guess, but its the only spoon I enjoyed for ice cream and other treats and needed a replacement when I lost it! Found this after a lot of searching, and the size, weight and thickness are all perfect!

Get this instead of a plastic handled set - you'll be glad you did.
These little progress sets are the best. I own the Chateau and Paul Revere sets for my child, and I purchased the Brahms set as a gift for another family because I love them so much. Cons: ------- - More expensive than plastic handled sets - Only 1 spoon and 1 fork in the set for any given feeding stage Pros: ------ - Perfect sized for any growth stage because of the 'progressive' nature of the set. The toddler spoon and fork are tiny and really perfect for a 1 year old. I also have an Oxo toddler set, and the fork and spoon are just too big for my daughter to really use them. I wouldn't have known this is why she wasn't thriving with her utensils until I got the Oneida set and saw how much easier it was for her to eat. She is a utensil machine, now! - Kids are more interested in using utensils that look like mom and dads. Ever wondered why your child would prefer your giant soup spoon to her plastic one? These look just like yours, but smaller. - Stainless steel is non-toxic, as opposed to many forms of plastic. We just don't know what we're going to learn about plastics and babies, and many plastics have BPA or other toxins in them that are emitted when microwaved or put through the dishwasher. - Very easy to clean - Very sturdy All of the designs are adorable and I don't think you can go wrong with any of them if you're on the fence. The Brahms is the frilliest and has brushed/darker steel undertones, and I thought that made it look less classy but it was my husband's favorite so go figure. Kids might like the pretty swirls. The Chateau is the shiniest and most delicately designed (but still very sturdy stainless steel). The Paul Revere is the sturdiest and least shiny, but probably my favorite. It's a more modern design, and feels the sturdiest. All seem pretty equal to me in terms of usability.

Adorable!
Update 2020: My kids are now 9 and 11 and have decided they prefer to use the adult sized utensils, but I still use the child sized Moda utensils everyday, haha! The child size are perfect for eating desserts from small bowls and plates, and the little knives are useful as spreaders (butter, condiments in small bowls, etc). The small size gets rid of that annoying experience of the longer utensils falling out of, or accidentally being knocked out of a bowl or knocked off of a plate that is too small for the utensil’s length, knocking food or condiments onto the table or floor. After three years of use, the utensils still look great. I wash them in our dishwasher using various ‘eco friendly’ detergents, but have avoided any with citrus oils to prevent discoloration (this might have been a warning that came with the utensils). So go ahead and get the child sizes - definitely useful once kids are grown (at least for me). Original 2017 Review: I bought three different types of Oneida child flatware: Child Moda to match my own Moda flatware set (and replace our disintegrating Gerber Graduates), Child/Baby Chateau to match my mother’s Chateau flatware set to use when grandchildren visit, and Little Love Child/Baby as a baby gift for a sibling. I am thrilled! The pieces are beautiful, high quality and adorable when compared to the adult versions. Between the three types I purchased, the Moda is heaviest with Little Love a close second. The Chateau set is lighter and the daintiest - truly adorable (and the lighter weight should not be taken to mean it is lower in quality, just a more delicate design). The baby Chateau fork is to die for 😍. Super tiny. I highly recommend any of these sets. My kids are 6 and 8 and my motivation for purchasing the Moda Child was to give my kids useful knives - the adult size knives are really difficult for them to use, and I want them to be cutting up foods (like pancakes) for themselves. I plan on using the Child size spoons myself when eating ice cream out of small bowls 😄.

They are what is marked on the label
These are salad forks. Not much more to say, honestly. Did you plan on getting salad forks? If so, these will do nicely. Will they be ludicrously expensive compared to the ones you could score at Goodwill? Sure, but they also aren't going to bend them moment you drop them. I have put one of these through a disposal (accidentally, mind) and it was still usable. Chateau is a pattern that Oneida has committed to always carry, so you'll also know you can always get replacements for them and match what you already have. This is useful for parents, since I have had to buy something like 30 spoons and forks over the course of a year, and we still can never find one when we need it. What do the children do with them? Do they trade them for whatever potion allows them to have so much energy? Is there a silverware fairy who comes in at night and absconds with them, leaving dirty mismatched socks behind? The world may never know. Anyway, these are good forks, Brent.
