I don't have any aquatic animals. I don't have a water feature. I do have 3 medium sized dogs, and this filter has been absolutely fabulous! I had bought pet water fountains for my dogs. I had to have 2 big ones because you have to wash them ALL THE TIME. Like the water under the lid gets nasty within 4 days, when you have 3 dogs. It was awful, but they loves drinking out of a fountain. One week, the filter cover broke on onw fountain. Another week the pump broke. Not wanting to pay $65 (on sale) I looked to YouTube. So, for the fountain that has a broken filter cover, I just didn't put a filter in. I didn't have the proper hose to fit this aquarium pump to the fountain spout, so I used the working pump to cycle the water to the top, for now. It has been 15 days. The water under the lid is STILL CLEAN!!! I have only addes water until today. Today, I had to clean the lid/cover because that water never tickles down below so the filter can clean it. Bonuses for using the aquarium filter as a pet water fountain cleaner: the water is actually clean, you do not have to change the filter every 4 days, the filter nor the water stink after 4 days, less cleaning to do (I will clean it all for maintenance, but not quite yet), inexpensive compared to a new pump and more filters (pet filters are 2 per week and $1 to $2 each, lest you have dirtier water). Cons, if you get the one for a 20+ gallon tank or whatever, it will be LOUD, but it does the job really well. If you turn off the air hose, it is less loud. This can also work in just a large, deep, pan for pet water, too, but my animals wouldn't drink out of it until I put the lid back on and made the water come out of the spout. (Ridiculous) For a pet water fountain, I have this in my smallest one, which is a 12 liter fountain. I will switch it over to the 16 liter pet fountain, and get the proper hosing, so this filter is filtering AND pumping. For perspective, a new pump can be $15 to $20, for a pet fountain and does not do as good of a job. Plus $20 for 10 to 12 filters that you have to replace every 4 days or so. I did not need the size of water filter I got, but I wanted to be extra sure the water stayed clean. I have not had to change the filter for 2 weeks, nor clean the fountain other than wiping the top. It looks like the filters for this filter last a LOT longer, too. Not sure when I will have to replace the filter, but it probably won't be for at least 3 months, with how well this is doing.

Worth every penny and people say you can’t turn down the bubbles it’s a lie you just turn the nob all the way to the right, it pays to read and try something before you leave a review lol. I have a 50gallon tank and only have goldfish in it right now untill I know my water is good but they like it. When I turn it on they swim through it.

The water jet out of this is STRONG! Got it for a 55 tall tank, it definitely circulates the water with a fast current. I would not recommend if you have small fish that like calmer water, like tetras. The double sponges are great at catching debris, and they are easy to clean. Overall this is a great product at a great price, just be warned that you shouldn't use with small fish that don't like fast currents.

It saved my aquarium! I tried several different types of filter and non of them cleaned my 50 gallon aquarium. This one did the job in three days. What I don’t like about it is the strong water flow it creates. I lost a fish due to the stress it created in their environment.

Ive had it for over a year now, i use it with my canister filter and my tanks water stays within perfect range. The extra biofilter helps keep the nitrogen cycle consistent, even if we do a large water change. Gteat value. The only thing i don't like about it is that my Oscar still isnt used to the fast moving water, but without it in the tank she was starting to develop hole in head. It's pretty much in remission and she's healthy enough to fight the filter at night.

I purchased this Aquarium Filter for a 40–150 gallon tank expecting a powerful, reliable filtration system, but it turned out to be completely defective. Right out of the box, the pump barely worked and made loud, grinding noises. After a short time, it either stopped running altogether or had extremely weak flow—nowhere near the advertised 300 GPH. The “4 in 1” features are misleading. The biochemical filtration is ineffective, the wavemaker function is inconsistent, and the air supply barely produces bubbles. Instead of keeping the tank clear, the water became cloudy, and debris was not properly filtered. I had to replace it quickly to protect my fish. Build quality is very poor. The plastic feels cheap, the suction cups don’t hold, and the unit frequently detaches and shifts inside the tank. For a product advertised for large tanks and ponds, this filter is completely unreliable. I do not recommend this filter at all. It’s overpriced, poorly constructed, and potentially dangerous for your aquarium if it fails unexpectedly. Save your money and choose a more reputable brand.

This is the best filter I’ve ever owned. I have a 75 gallon fish tank that had been without a filter for a couple of months; I put this filter in and when I woke up the next morning the fish tank looked 70% better. By night, 24 hours, my tank was crystal clear and the fishes had the zoomies! The water flow is pretty high even when adjusted on low but it’s a solid 10/10 and the best part is that you don’t hear it running. I’ve owned quite a few fish tank filters and this one beats the others in price, quality, and maintenance! Highly recommend.

The pump is no louder than my Aqueon without the rattling lid from time to time and it is wonderful not having to change filters so much. I have a 55 gallon aquarium and was looking fir something slim that won't sound like Niagara Falls when the water level drops . 4 inches. It's only loud when you open the air flow nozzle so I keep it off. At first I loved the way the plants swayed with the water, but I've realized the fish are hovering close to the filter cause it's where the current is weaker. I got the 40 to 150 gallon punp and idk how this is, supposed to cover that wide if a gallon range. This should only be for a 100 to 150 gallon tank. Luckily I got the next size, down for my 40 gallon aquarium so I'm going to use that one instead. I was hoping there would be a flow adjustment but it doesn't. It actually ripped one of my plants from the gravel substrate.

Not Working - Used Product

This pump is very powerful. A little too powerful for my 40 gallon tank. But it keeps the tank clean and clear. The fish usually avoid that side of the tank, unless they’re feeling like a joy ride. Every now and then they have fun playing in the powerful water output. They swim into it, which sends them flying and then swim back and go for another ride. It also shoots my live plants around, which I don’t love. I plan to try to diffuse the water output and see if I can aim it to cause less stress on my plants. I will likely add it to my 75 gallon tank in the future and get something a little less powerful for my 40 gallon. But for now it’s doing its job.

This thing is a powerhouse. It gets the job DONE. Taking it apart to service it is incredibly easy, too. Yes, it's a bit loud but with how much water it moves that's not surprising. And at this price I think it's well worth it, it's an absolute beast!!

This is the best pump I have ever had. Bought it for a 50 gallon tabk and it is on the lowest setting there is..very powerful...I see the difference in my fish, they are more active and riding the waves. I def will be buying more. Kinda curious as to why the smaller one is more expensive than this one, because I would love to get one of them.

It works wonderful, but not so easy to clean for a turtle tank. Plus the oxygen line never stays up or out of the water, so it’s really of no use. And a bit to strong of water flow then I had wanted but it keeps it clean for the most part.
