Nice set of string lights.

I bought these about a year ago. They are pretty and add a bit of whimsy to the patio. I strung them under the patio umbrella, with the charging unit strung through the top vent, to sit on top of the umbrella to get charged during the day. It added a low light under the umbrella, which was very pleasant and added some ambient light to the area. There are several settings for the lights (steady on, flashing, pulsing, etc.) and that was a nice feature.After about 8 months, they no longer held a charge and now do not come on at all. I haven't looked into the contacts within the unit to see if weather had any effect. I'll do that soon and update this review. (Got to get past the holidays.)Definitely a 5 star rating for the artistic value and ease of use. Quality is pretty good as well (despite the charging issue.) The lights are fairly durable during handling, but they do yellow a bit over time in the California sun. They started out fairly clear, but yellowed. Two stars removed because they didn't last very long.

These lights are so pretty on and add a little whimsy to my yard at night. I love that these lights are solar powered as I am always looking for cost effective ways to add a little sparkle to my yard. This set has 30 white LED teardrop style lights on a 20 ' string that cast a soft yellow glow. Each tear drop light is about 3 inches long and made of plastic. This set arrived fast and installation was very easy. I attached the solar panel to the stake, positioned the stake /panel for optimal sun, turned on the unit and hung the lights in a little tree. I did have one of teardrop fall off while I was hanging these up, but it went back on easy and hasn't fallen off since. There are several different modes to choose from...so fun! These lights turn on around dark and stay on until light the next morning. I live in the northwest with long summer days and short nights. These lights turn on around 9pm and off around 4:30 am when the sun comes up. I love that when these turn on they are in the same mode I had them set to. I own a different set of these lights and this isn't the case for the other set where I have to reset the setting every night. I am very happy with these lights and plan on purchasing a few more sets for the other trees in my yard.I did receive this set of lights for free in exchange for my honest and unbiased review. These lights have a nice warm inviting color. The solar charge during the day keeps them gong all night long. I received this at a discount in exchange for my honest review.
