A MUST for me with all my earbuds and earplugs use!
(Daughter writing this.) BigWave Drops have truly made life better for me. I do both school and work remotely from home, where my family lives as well, and I NEED earbuds to concentrate on what I’m doing. I'm also most productive at home and nowhere else. Not using earbuds, though, means hearing all kinds of noises at home and outside like talking, coughing, cooking, the TV, kids playing and screaming, the ice cream truck during this summer, etc. without any filter. In my free time, I use my earbuds to do things like watch YouTube, listen to music, meditate, etc. In addition, I use earplugs at night to sleep because a family member snores EXTREMELY loudly and will not get any treatment for it. A loud fan or air conditioner isn’t at all enough to block out their snoring. Between my earbuds use and earplugs use, my ears go through a lot every day, and this has been the case for years, even before the pandemic when remote work became much more of a thing. I found BigWave Drops when I finally realized I needed to take better care of my inner ears, not just my outer ears, or else my inner ears might get permanent damage over time. I have annoyingly very sensitive ear canals, which get itchy and irritated by practically any type of ear plug and ear bud and whatever, even if I’m not jamming the plug or bud deep in my ear. I have a pair of over-the-ear headphones I really like, but they and other over-the-ear headphones just don’t muffle or silence enough noise like earbuds do. BigWave Drops made a huge difference for me, although it took time to see that difference (a few weeks, to heal my ears from any earbuds-and-earplugs-related damage first, then a few months to keep up a routine of using the drops). By using BigWave Drops daily not long after waking up and/or at night before more school/work/hobby time, I’m “prepping” my ears for earbuds and earplugs by healing, moisturizing, and even drying them if I took a shower before the drops. BigWave drops are expensive, and using vegetable oil instead is a cheaper, even much cheaper, option, but I was willing to buy something more expensive like these drops. And like others, I was intrigued by these drops being originally aimed at surfers. I found that one bottle of BigWave Drops lasted over six months when I used the drops once a day, usually one drop in each ear unless my aim was bad or the drop slid down the wrong direction. (My ears are shaped in a way that makes it more difficult to put any drops in accurately.) I’m now using the drops twice a day because I’ve been doing more school, work, and hobbies that require earbuds and earplugs, with the same thing of usually one drop in each ear. I’m less than halfway through a bottle I bought back in mid-May 2025, so I’m definitely running out of drops faster. However, the drops aren’t running out ridiculously fast. Because my ear canals are so sensitive, the drops don’t completely eliminate itchiness from earbuds, earplugs, or whatever else, but my ears overall are absolutely better than they were before. Thankfully, the drops also don’t stain like crazy (I recommend having a tissue, towel, or cloth on hand when you use them), and they don’t have any strong chemical smell that sets off my asthma. Please be aware, though, that if you have slight irritation in your ears like I do sometimes, then using the drops will make it sting. For me, the sting isn’t very painful at all, but it can be unpleasant and surprising to feel. Definitely don’t use the drops if you have a lot of irritation in your ears and don’t want that sting. I know for sure BigWave Drops are preventing me from having much more ear irritation, damage, and itchiness, and they’re even preventing me from another expensive trip to the audiologist. I saw one once because both my ears kept getting this feeling of ear popping, even when my family and I were just driving on a regular highway or local road. The audiologist and his assistant/whoever were condescending, saw no serious issue, judged me for being honest about using Q-tips, and only treated me for dryness accumulation in my ears with some ear-sucking machine (it actually didn’t hurt at all). The audiologist even wanted me to come back in six months (and every six months, I assume) for more ear sucking, but that was of course to keep getting money from us. After that very negative audiologist experience, you can see why I never went back and don’t want more professional “help” for my ears, especially if I can help myself instead right at home with drops like these. I totally recommend BigWave Drops, even if you’re someone who doesn’t use earbuds or earplugs a lot. These drops are great to have around the house just in case, and you can use them to dry your ears post-shower if that’s all you want them for. The drops are worth their higher cost. Honestly, I think their bottle (especially the dropper) and size is better than some skincare dropper bottles I’ve used, which were more expensive, too small in size, and/or had poor quality bottles and droppers (Drunk Elephant’s marula oil, for example). I hope these BigWave Drops never change in formula or packaging because both are wonderful, and as long as they stay the same, I will continue to use these drops!

Bigwave ear drops really helped with my ear infections, itchiness, and clogs.
Bigwave ear drops really helped with my ear infections, itchiness, and clogs. I used to deal with constant irritation and blockages from overusing Q-tips, wearing earbuds daily, and even poking around my ears with untrimmed nails—basically, bad habits that made things worse. At times, one of my ears would get so clogged I could barely hear for 2 to 3 days. I probably lost 75% of my ability to hear in one ear. I tried cutting back on Q-tips, but the itchiness persisted and I couldn’t resist the urge to keep using them. Then I discovered Bigwave. The first time I used it, the itchiness eased almost instantly. I did feel a slight burn, but only when I had abrasions in my ear, which made sense. My ears were in rough shape, so the drops temporarily clogged them for about 10 minutes, but then they dried out and I could hear clearly again. After a week of consistent use, I stopped feeling the urge to use Q-tips altogether—exactly what I was hoping for. Now, if I ever need the drops, they work without any clogging because my ears are much healthier. If you struggle with ear issues and rely on Q-tips like I did, I highly recommend giving Bigwave a try. It’s such a relief not constantly worrying about clogged or itchy ears.

It works, but to expensive
It works like hand lotion. It's a proven method of killing gems. And that is alcohol and something to put oil back in the skin. You could also use alcohol and castor oil.

Works well, easy to apply
These worked like a charm to clear an ear canal infection after swimming. I'm now using them regularly after swims. Initially, there was a very mild sting, which I actually liked, as that shows the product is working. Now that the infection has cleared up, it's just a gentle cooling sensation after applying.

Helped a mild ear infection
I have been having problems with one of my ears for two months now. I went on an antibiotic for 10 days after a confirmed ear infection, but that did not clear it. I, suspecting a fungal infection, even tried clotrimasole drops. Nothing worked and my ear alternated between draining fluid and being dry and itchy. It was super distracting. I finally decided to try these after looking for products and not really wanting to do more antibiotics. I have used these drops 2x a day for almost two days now and my ear is much less itchy, and the discharge has all but completely stopped. There is a slight burn upon use but not bad at all. I have an ear camera that I also bought and the amount of white crap in my ear has gone down significantly in the last 48 hours. I will likely update my review but this definitely seems to be working. EDIT: it's been a couple months now since I purchased these drops. They did help some of my symptoms but not the ear itch, so I also did a follow up with an ENT. She said these drops are not bad, but my dry/flaky ears are also the result of ear eczema. For $10 at CVS, she prescribed me Fluocinolone Acetonide drops. That has finally helped me get my ears to the point where I am not itching them until they get infected and start the cycle anew. I hope this information helps others! These drops were fine for a few weeks but, if your issue lingers go see a doc!

Made every ear problem I was having worse
After reading about this product I was about 50-50 on what it would do. All it did was make my ears a lot worse. They were completely clogged shut for the entire week I was using it. It just gets down in your ear and stays there wet it never dries up. You can lay on your side all day long and it just stays in there. I was blowing a hairdryer in my ear trying to dry it out. Sticking Q-tips where they shouldn't be. I would give this product zero stars if it was an option. I literally almost went to the ear doctor because of this product. That's how much worse it made my ears.
