Coutellerie Tarrerias Bonjean Laguiole Red Colour Handle Set, 24-Piece

This is the second set of these I have purchased. At first you may think they are light weight and not sturdy...but rest assured that they will last a long time. The knives are quite sharp and great for steak and the forks are long handled for easy gripping. This is a great value for the money.

I have used the set for several months. I can say nothing bad about Laguiole. I have several different sets of knives. LOVE LOVE LOVE them.Update: We use these every day and nothing has chipped, broken, faded, or stained.

Nice set for daily use. Only problem is that the teaspoons were very small.

The silverware is small and cheaply made. I wanted red as I did my kitchen accessories in red but in the end this silverware did not have the construction I was looking for. The spoons are very small, too small to eat with but you can use them to add sugar and stir your coffee. Luckily I got a refund and found some with red handles I really like.

We had these in France and wanted a pair for our home in California. These are the real deal and we highly suggest them.

The set looks as good as it did in the picture, I haven't used it much yet but so far so good. Would highly recommend.

As another reviewer noted these are not Jean Dubost Laguiole. I have 4 place settings of red flatware from John Dubost Laguiole that I purchased in 2006 on sale for $120. After 10 years of use the plastic on the handles is beginning to crack apart so I searched for a new set but couldn't find them in red. For $27.53 this brand of Laguiole was totally worth it even though they're made in China and the quality is lower but not bad in any way. My only complaint is that they sent the 6 place setting flatware in a 4 place setting box - they threw 2 sets in the bottom under the inset which were not secured in any way. Luckily they weren't damaged or I would have returned it.
