I use it as a pond aerator.
I use this in my 80 foot wide fish pond for aeration and algae control. The fountain sprays about 14 feet high and splashes down in a 4 foot diameter. Its powered by a quarter horsepower sump pump. It aerates and clears the water very well.

Disappointment
I loved the pictures on Amazon of the nice column of water with a mushrooming affect of the top. No matter how long I work with it, it appears no better than if I cut a pipe and aimed it skyward. Very sad to sit and look at after hours in my muddy pond.
