This peeler worked GREAT!!My sister said she got one from one of those home kitchen parties that was useless--but when I tried this one it worked perfectly!I had to push the lever for the suction bottom a couple times, but then it was an extremely strong holdIt was easy to push the apple on the prongs, and it turned perfectly--peeling, spiral cutting, and when you pulled the sliced apple off, the core came right out!!It was so quick and easy--easily under a minute for each apple--I used Macintosh and Jonathon applesAnd then I made a big apple pie!This was just the BEST--I have gotten arthritis in my hands and cannot hold an apple quarter anymore for peeling--and had essentially stopped cooking with apples--now I can!I also love that it is stainless steel, and isn't going to rust

I have never used an apple peeler before, and am amazed at how much time it saves me! I put off buying one for years because I don't like a lot of gimmicky kitchen tools that take up storage space and that I end up not using much. But this one seems to be well made and very sturdy, and it has cut my peeling/slicing tasks down by about 3/4 on the bumper crop of apples I have this year! I chose this one because of the good reviews, and it will handle most any size apple, AND the fact that most of the reviews were not posted by paid reviewers, I highly recommend. I have peeled and sliced 8 bags -- (6 cups each) of apples that go into the freezer for later use. It is so adjustable that I imagine it could be used for other purposes too, although I have not tried that.

I love, love, love this!! During the fall / winter I make a lot of applesauce, and it was always a chore to peel, core and slice all those apples. Not with this! This device is deceptively simple. It took me going through 2 apples before I fully understood the mechanism. After that, going through a dozen apples takes almost no time at all!This device cores, peels and slices the apple (I haven't yet tried any other fruit / vegetable). It performs smoothly and easily. And when done, you are left with an apple that is peeled, cored and spirally sliced. You can leave as is, or a quick cut down the middle will give you evenly sliced apples.Cleanup is a breeze. I just make certain to dry thoroughly, as I'm not sure if any of the parts are susceptible to rust.I love this and wish I had bought one long before now!

I had a cheaper version of this device purchased from a local apple ranch which didn't work well at all. I'm very pleased with this product. We recently canned applesauce, pie filling and juice. It worked very well. It was a bit difficult to pry the core off the spikes, but that may have to do with the fact that my husband and I have weakening arthritic hands..... :)

The one concern I had when ordering this was whether the counter top suction cup would be secure enough to mount on the counter and not move. Well it turns out it holds for about two apples then needs to be reseated. The cutter needs constant adjusting or the apple core won't go through it. Lastly if you would like to store this in the box you have to take the handle off with a screw driver. Really? Couldn't they have packaged it in a box that was and inch larger?This product is sturdy, cleans up easily, is fairly easy to use with the constant adjustments. I won't return it but I wouldn't by another one.

I purchased two of these for the Boy Scouts of America. We make apple butter yearly and required more peelers and the boys enjoy using a crank type peeler. Very disappointing product to say the least. Cannot obtain proper adjustment. The peeler carves through 1/3+ of the apple instead of peeling the skin with a smalle layer of the meat (which is to be expected). Instead of speeding up the process they only slowed us down. The suction cup on both does not stick or stay in place regardless of surface. I had to C-clamp them down when attempting to use. Its a great idea but very very poor product design and concept. Perhaps I received two very defective products from their batch.

This is the time of year we make apple pies, applesauce, baked apples etc, and we do them in bulk. I had another peeler, slicer, corer, but it was not of this quality, and after two years it wore out. I purchased this one because of the good reviews, and the fact it looks sturdy and will last.The apple peeler came well packaged, all pieces intact, and everything was ready to use. I washed the parts that are washable before using. I had 36 apples to peel, core and slid for 3 regular pies and three mini pies. The apples took little time to peel, core and slice. I put the cons,mon and cloves and sugar and salt in with the apples while I got my pie dough out of the fridge. I made the pie dough yesterday. I rolled out three bottom layers of pie, filled with apples, rolled out the three tops, used milk to coat the top pie crust, and then put two pies in the oven. When they were done I put the mini pies and the other large pie into bake. We had one pie for dinner. And I froze the other two. I gave the mini pies to my next door neighbor who lives alone. Lots of rave reviews from the family.This was the easiest apple peeler, corer,slicer I have used. Very easy to clean, and then I put it away for the next time.Recommended. prisrob 09-20-16

works OK with the exception of the suction cup, on the bottom of the device, used to hold it on the counter. The device constantly detaches, causing a lot of frustration and cussing. It is a great time saver but you could probably triple your output if this worked as it should. Would not buy again unless I knew this problem was fixed.
