Does exactly what it’s designed for.

I bought this to defrost our freezer that had a lot of ice build up at the back, and it was great! Ice came off with just one smack of this ice pick, very satisfying to watch. Would recommend if you need to defrost your freezer.

Bought before absolutely brilliant definitely recommend it to anyone

I purchased this because I have an icemaker with that being said, I make a lot of ice ahead of time and keep it in my freezer. I wanted an ice pic maybe because as you add new batches of ice to your freezer Ziploc bag and store it in the freezer until the next batch is ready the ice tends to clump together and then I would need a sharp knife to break it up and then, I end up getting holes in my Ziploc bag because the knife is very sharp . The ice pic works much better, It breaks up the ice nicely without chopping my ice up into smaller pieces the way my small knife would. I love that it comes with a lid that screws over top of the ice pic, safety first.

Would make a nice host/hostess gift too.
