Do the shears come apart for easy cleaning?

yes, shears come with it, but overall this is bargain basement product. i was a bit disappointed. :)

Is there any plastic at all on these utensils? i know some places coat the silicone in other plastics besides bpa. like bps for example.

I can't answer that question. I can tell you that this set was advertised as Stainless steel. It's the only " Stainless steel utensil set " I've had that began to rust after 2 months
