Took me about twenty minutes to install. My first time cutting into dry wall. Here’s the key to ensuring the hub stays in place and doesn’t fall out: before in steering the mount into the wall, install the hub first. It will then be secure. I omitted the metal brackets as that created issues for me and my hope was tight.Great product. Will be riding more for my bedrooms and two for the hub max.Recommend.

When you get this installed it looks great. Very clean and professional looking, like you know what you're doing. Before that, though, it's kind of rough.Granted, I installed it in wood - not drywall - so it was a lot harder from the jump. On top of that the wood was about 1.5" thick whereas drywall isn't so of course there were some dimension problems and I couldn't use the included pins to hold the plastic in place. Instead I used to wood glue and clamps and it basically worked. Probably need to do another round of wood glue soon but we'll see.The only actual complaint I have is that making sure the Hub stays in is tricky. It is probably because of my install method but the only way I could get it to not fall out was a few think strips of Velcro on the sides. The first time it fell out I bumped it so I figured whoops clumsy me. The second time no one was near it so I couldn't blame anyone other than the ghost and I'm pretty sure it wasn't him. The third time...well there wasn't a third time.In the end it's a really neat product that works just as you'd think, but definitely adjust for your own install as necessary.

The genie mount comes with a AC extension cord a template and the wall mount for me it was the easy installation and it turned out really nice

It really is made of thin flimsy plastic and the cutout lay is unnecessarily odd shaped (whats with the strange notch shape at the bottom).Considering the low quality of material and what it actually comes with (thin clips), its way overpriced. I would be returning mine.

The media could not be loaded. This is a great mount, minimalist design and almost flush to the wall, adds beauty to Google hub and makes it look like a futuristic device. But there is a major flaw in this. See the video.There is no locking mechanism to hold the hub, although it sits comfortably in the mount but its not locked or secure and prone to fall outside to accidental touch. Also if you are using touch screen, then it doesn't stay study because its not locked anywhere in the mount, it just sits inside the frame. I didn't want to fall my $100 device due to accident touch while cleaning or walking, i simply ordered a rare magnet strip with double sided tape and glued it to top back of hub. Used some metal wisers and glued to the top frame edge of mount. Now it firmly locks the hub to the frame and totally secure of accedental touch fall and also remains stable while using touch screen.Taking 2 stars away due to this missing locking mechanism, otherwise it's a great fit and makes your space look like modern and futuristic.I also used a brush wall plug and fished wired behind the wall to hide the power cable.

This is a great mount and easy to install. Gives the Best Hub a built in wall look. Customer service is great as well.

The mount itself works just fine once you figure out how to properly install it. The instructions fail to mention that the hole in the wall needs to be slightly larger than the mount at the top so the plastic can flex and pull the ‘teeth’ into the space between the speaker and the tablet. The cutout provided does not call for this extra space. TLDR:Cut the top of the hole a little higher (a few cms) so the teeth can slide in to the nest hub.Update: one of the ‘teeth’s broke when I removed the hub after nearly 2 years. It happens—plastic isn’t perfect. Genie replaced it for free with no hassle. Added a star back due to exceptional warranty service.
