I bought these to use with my cookie decorating. I use them to pick up small pieces of fondant or other edible media to apply to my cookies. For those who are looking for heat protection, this does not provide that, as the tip is a rubber and PVC-coated tip not silicone. So just be aware of that fact. And as with any freqently used rubber, it won't last long. But for me, they work just fine.

I needed something to grab my cacti as I move them around. I use this for smaller ones and a mini tongs for larger ones. I also use them to weed between the cacti. You don't want to stick your fingers in there. They can be pried open more fully if needs be. So far that hasn't done them any harm. They do rust, so don't leave them outdoor.

The tips don't stand up to heat from an adjacent soldering iron, however, they are great for removing and placing ribbon cables.

These seem to be nicely made. They are pressure tweezers so no spring to worry about breaking or rusting & that's a plus with me. I tend to use the bent tip a lot with my crafting & the coating on the tips of these is even with no rough edges and looks like will stay in place permanently. The coating helps a lot with gripping things like the small pins, etc. I use. I also used a set in my car to get the pine needles out of some crevices around my tailgate rim that I just couldn't get to with my fingers so these are really all around usefull tools to have on hand in a drawer somewhere.

Good quality, bought for picking grain out of a pan. Great grip and worth the money. I bought 3 sets.
