Anchor Hocking 3 Quart Bake-N-Take Dish with Snap On Cover

I wanted something I could cook in and yet still looked nice to take to pot luck dinners that are common with my neighbor hood friends. The lid works great and the pyrex pan has the handles making it easy to grab from the oven. Plus the fluting ridges give it an elegant look.

This is a beautiful, very well-made dish. BUT the lid took both my husband and me to remove — and it was still very difficult. I don’t know who designed the lid but it’s useless right now. I’m putting in bottom rack of dishwasher several times hoping to soften it up. If you can get it on, it absolutely will protect your food — but you’ll starve to death before you can get it off. Still keeping the dish because it’s very nice and heavy duty. Just hope I can get that lid working. I’m also going to call manufacturer and see what they say.

I purchased this dish for several reasons, the biggest being that it came with a lid & I would no longer have to use Saran Wrap in order to keep what I cooked fresh. I was skeptical on whether it could cook a cake as good as it could cook a casserole and the answer is yes on both counts. Not to mention, no harsh chemicals soaking into your food since it's made out of glass!

I lost the wife's older Pyrex cake pan with cover, at a picnic. Wishing to make amends ASAP, I went to Amazon and found this low priced item. Looking over other kitchen sites, this was the lower priced. It arrived promptly & in one piece. Looked just like the one I'd lost, except for the brand name. She still cooks goodies in it and uses the well sealed top for pot lucks and such. And I'm out of the dog house......

My wife makes an awesome "German Pancake", but she always has problems with the batter sticking to the fiestaware ceramic dish she used to use. The first time she used this glass dish, the pancake slid right out of the pan, no sticking at all! The glass is thick, heavy, and seems very durable. The lid is also a nice feature for transporting goodies to/from a party, work, wherever.

I have a similar dish that I use all the time without a lid and I thought a snap-on lid would be a great idea. However, I'm somewhat disappointed with how difficult it is to remove from pan. While I enjoy having a lid always handy and how good it looks when on the dish, I just wish the manufacturer would come up with an easier way to remove it. Maybe after awhile the plastic will be more pliable and not cause such a struggle. I highly recommend Amazon's PRIME feature....well worth the money. Items are shipped very quickly!

I cook everyday. EVERY.DAY. I am very particular about what comes into my kitchen and if I don't like something, or its not what I expected I give it away. This is my second of these great pans. They are heavy glass. The lids fit well. Love the scalloped edges on this one. They clean up easy. Dishwasher safe. Lids stand up through the freezer. My other pan is 4 yrs old and still looks new after daily use. I give it two ladles up!

I bought this thinking hey this will be just what I'm looking for to store my cakes so they don't dry out and my cats can't step on it and ruin the frosting. But I hate the lid! No matter what I do the lid bows inward so anytime I put the frosting on the cake it gets ruined when the lid sticks to it. This lid needs to be a stiffer plastic so it won't bend downward. I make in my hunt for a better covered cake pan!
