What are the rules for play?

Instructions for setting up the pins (arrangement and distance) will come with the set you purchase. There are apps you can download from Android/Apple ("search for Molkky") and you keep score in the app (you can use pencil and paper, but the app is MUCH easier). You may want to try different apps to find one you like. Each Molkky 'pin' is numbered 1-12. If you knock over a single pin, you get the number of points for that pin. If you knock over 2 or more pins, you get points for the total number of pins that are knocked over. You do not get credit for the pin if it is leaning on another pin (must touch the ground). You set the pins wherever they fall so the pins spread out over the course of the game. If you do not knock over any pins, that is a 'miss.' Three (or any number you choose) misses and you are out of the game. You play to any total number of points you choose, usually 50 points. The app lets you play individually or in teams (guys vs. girls, couples, etc.).
