Awesome game with fun gameplay loops and a lot of humor

Best.. Game.. Ever.. worth every penny! I was new to roguelikes and heard this was the best, well it is!! Honestly challenging and a very gripping story that you’ll want to see to the end! If you have done a little research and you want to give it a try it’s worth it! Best game I’ve played in years!

A simple game really, you pick a weapon and go through several levels of the underworld to try and make it as far as you can with the goal that you make it to the surface. If you die then you start back at the beginning. Rinse and repeat. But it's a lot of fun because there is so much variety in weapon styles and your luck varies each time with bonuses you pick up that enhance your weapon and play style. I personally love the graphics style, almost like playing a comic book type game and it's very refreshing considering almost everything nowadays is high fidelity graphics. I also enjoy the fact that its so quick and easy to jump in and play and you can quit whenever and come right back, it's a great game to just play here and there for fun. It can honestly be as deep of a game as you want or it can just be a simple distraction occasionally. If you end up wanting to collect all the extras then it will take you some time unlocking all the variants of the weapons. Overall I would recommend the game to almost anyone unless your purely playing for a long varied story. If it's only story your after, you may beat the game too quickly and run out of things to hold your attention since a lot of what you do is repetitive. I think most people will find it fun and easy to engage with though, the question will be for how long? And that just depends on what type of games you enjoy. Well worth at least trying the game out though, and I plan to try the 2nd one next.

This game is so dang good I have not bought it three times. The story, the art direction, the characters, the voice acting, the gameplay. Everything about this game is so close to perfect. This grand should have won game of the year, not the Last of Us Part 2. Infinitely better. Can’t wait for the sequel.

Hades first came out on Nintendo Switch a while ago and PC as well I had picked it up on Switch and was hooked on the gameplay almost instantly. Every run is different and having to start with little to no upgrades at first to then being able to select different abilities, aspects, weapons, and Boons later is all amazing. The PS5 version improves on most of the framerate and graphics especially in certain bosses which you could see how pixelated they were looking on Switch. Overall you can't go wrong getting a copy of Hades on PS5 as the amazing soundtrack and character compendium is in there a mini deluxe edition at a steal of a price.

Hands down my favorite game. Over 200 hours sunk in.
