Lodge9"x13" Cast Iron Casserole, Black

I love this casserole dish. Lodge has a great assortment of iron pans and I think this one is one of my many favorites. I think everything taste better when using iron. The heat is retained longer than non cast iron pans. Buy one or even 2. I really think you’ll love them as much as I do.

First one came inside thin cardboard box without any interior padding/packaging. The handle was thru the box & the casserole itself had a 6” long crack. It takes considerable force to crack cast iron. However, customer service was great & immediately replaced it. This one arrived in perfect condition. Very heavy (cast iron is), well-made & versatile pan. Lodge says not to use it on the stovetop. I’ve found you can bake/roast anything in it.. Casseroles, roasts, cakes, brownies, roasted veggies, etc. Love it!

Perfect size for deep dish pizza but this one was obviously a return. I had to reseason it in my oven twice to cook off the food bits and margarine. Lodge is a great product but buy it from their website direct!

Was a Christmas gift for my brother the at home chef! Just the other day he pulled it from the over and said "sis, I think this is the best present you ever gave me, I use it all the time! "
