Stratagem 6' x 4' Open Field Grass Terrain Neoprene Tabletop Battlemat with 1.25" Hex Grid and Carrying Case

We bought a new dining room table and I decided I needed to protect it from scratches and whatnot on game days. I was looking for some kind of thick table cloth, when a buddy of mine brought this same mat to a gaming session. Seeing as it is made from thick mousepad rubber and has terrain and hexes already printed on it, this was an excellent choice, as it not only protects our new table, but can also be used for actual gaming!

It's a giant mouse pad covered in hexagons. Quality materials. Print is flawless. I'll be buying the snow version soon.

Gigantic mousepad with green print on it, I love this product, great for our gaming and the hexagonal shapes (@1in ea.) give a nice feature to measure distance without tape measures for some occasions, the carrying case is definitely needed but a welcomed bonus.

I am a longtime miniature gamer (since the 80's) and have had hundreds of gaming tables and a few dozen neoprene mats over the years. The quality of this mat is good, a little thinner material than some of the mats by more well known places, but NOT bad at all. There are some 'wrinkles' I notice because of the thickness that are not present on thicker ones, probably because it is lighter weight.The only real complaint I have (and it is a minor one having to do with my personal tastes). The color is very bright, almost over saturated. It doesn't look "real" on the table. It isn't bad, but it would have been nice if it was a bit darker and less saturated so the grass looked more realistic. It almost reminds me of fake looking grass.Agaim. 4 out of 5 starts, no real complaints and I am satisfied. Just be aware of the thinness and the brighter coloring compared to other gaming mats.

My husband loves this. Nice material. Cannot use heroscapes terrain on it because they are slightly too big for the hexes, but the miniatures fit.

this is a great map I use it for my D&D games before we'd use maps that were much smaller and there's always one person in the group who likes being the "support sniper" and is at the very edge of the map hoping the GM doesn't have one or two thugs go after him and since the maps we used were small it was only one or two turns before they were on top of the support sniper with this map there's plenty of room to run it works great on tables, floors and carpet I have 3d printed buildings, cars, mountains, lakes and they all stay right were I put them and it stood up to hot tea spills and as well as soda I bought a dowel rod from home depot to roll the map around for storage in the bag it was a buck 50 well worth it for less hassle my only issue is they only have a green map I would love a desert map

Stays perfectly flat. Looks nice on the table with Battletech 6mm 1/285 scale miniatures. The material feels like it will last a fair amount of time. The bag it comes with is also good enough to store it. Size is right. I’m very happy with my purchase!

If you just want a hexed battle mat and you aren't too worried about accuracy, then this mat is for you. If, however, you're like me and want to use 3D printed terrain on this mat and are expecting the hexes to match up with your prints, you will be disappointed.Pictured are some road tiles from Steel Warrior Studios. As you can see, moving from left to right, the map loses all sense of accuracy to the prints. And in case you were wondering, my prints -are- accurate and match up perfectly with the printed maps that Catalyst games makes for Battletech.Otherwise, it's a beautiful mat and I was honestly saddened that it didn't fit my needs. It does look and feel great on the tabletop. Unfortunately, for $70, I just expected more accuracy, so I returned mine.
