This is a fun science kit that allows kids to make their own rockets that work.However the parts are a bit challenging to assemble and it feel flimsy.This is definitely a one-time use kit.

The hand2mind Take Flight Science Kit is a nice little science kit for 8-10 year olds. The kit does not contain everything you might need, but a lot of items are easily found throughout the house. Each discipline is broken down in several mini experiments. As you go through them you will first use only the items in the kit, then a few items from around the house, and finally quite a bit of items additionally found in the house. The instructions are easy to follow and each experiment explains something in the real world and in line with what you are doing. I would say this requires adult supervision and at the very least guidance. It does come with chemicals so this isn't something to leave laying around the house if you have younger kids or a kid who is too adventurous for his own good. My son and I are enjoying doing an experiment each weekend.

My science obsessed 7-year-old was not impressed. At all. Well, he was super excited with the science googles and the gloves, but then deeply disappointed in the rest of the kit. The wind speed anemometer still didn't work after tying 3 different plastic bottles, was a pain to build, and also required us to supply our own tape and bottles. Not cool. The little air-powered rockets disappointed as well. Both our boys had fun with the balloons, but $25 is not worth it when the most fun inside is a few regular balloons.Neither of our boys gave the review box a thumbs up. This is too little stuff, trying too hard to be STEM, slick packaging with not enough substance. There are loads of fun boxes out there for the same price. Ordered that’s to do with my eight-year-old grandson. It arrived pretty quickly and well packaged. We sat down to work on this together and initially and my grandson was very excited. After taking the time to put the anemometer together we both got quite frustrated. It did not work at all, which is frustrating because it was what he was most excited about. I would not give this to someone as a gift as the kit is just not work as it should even after we followed directions carefully and is just not as stimulating STEM wise as it claims to be. Overall, I’m a bit disappointed with this kit.

Our son is 5 years old and although this was not the appropriate age science kit it was still fun as a family activity. My wife actually set up and made most of it and we asked our son to hand over the balloon or the rocket and such. Once we demonstrated how to make one we then proceeded to have him take the lead. It all worked out as he had fun shooting rockets. My 8 year old nephew loved this! I have been watching him a lot this summer as child care is still a challenge for my sister due to covid, and she doesn't like him to be sitting in front of a screen all day. This was a cool science kit that was educational as well as fun, and kept him busy for quite some time!

My kiddo loves science experiments, and hands on learning. This kit was a must have for our homeschool curriculum this year! It comes with absolutely everything ya need to do some hands on learning and have lots of fun. Highly recommend!
