how much water to use, can it be used in auto washer, hot or cold water?

yes, you can use your washer to dye; use hot water to dye with AND ALWAYS WASH IN COLD or all your things will be pink, i promise... use the whole box, for up to 4 lbs (i think).

I have a dress that is very faded. How long should I let it soak. Will vinegar help set the color after dying it?

the box includes directions on how to use the dye... I no longer have the box, but remember that the instructions were detailed
