Howdy. I picked up these tie plates for a repair job, and they're exactly what I needed. They're heavy-duty and feel really solid, not some flimsy stuff. I'm using them to splice some wood beams, and they're holdin' everything together like a champ. The coating on 'em looks like it'll last forever, so I don't have to worry about rust. These plates are 2mm thick, which translates to around 14 gauge. This is thick, and whatever you are bonding to will probably fail before this plate will. I'm using them for rafters, and have no doubt they will outlast the structure I'm building.
