Ghostbusters (Ghostbusters) (Little Golden Book)

I recently purchased some of the Playmobil licensed Ghostbusters toy sets for my grandson and wanted to give him a book to help explain the story. He's definitely a little young for the movie but this book tells the story in a way that is acceptable for a younger child. The story in this Little Golden Book is based on the original version of Ghostbusters and not the more recent remake of it. The characters are all the ones that I hoped would be included. The illustrations by Alan Batson are great as well as the condensed storyline by John Sazaklis. He enjoys having me read him the story and then we play with the sets. He has even asked for the story book as his before nap book because he enjoys it so much. The book is great on its own and it adds a lot of fun to other Ghostbusters play time.

My kid has been reading since the age of 3 and a half and this is a great book for beginners. The words are easy and the pictures are vibrant.

The product was fantastic! The original Ghostbusters story we came to love, the art pops and kept my 4 year old brother very interested. Little Golden Books absolutely did An amazing job with this adaptation. As an adult it kept me attentive because the characters had the likeness of the original cast and because it was so different to see the original gang in this style of media! Loved reading it. It is really stiff when you get it but all books usually are.

I am not afraid to admit that I squealed like a little fan girl upon finding this book. I've been a die hard Ghostbusters fan since I was probably 2 years old, religiously watching the Real Ghostbusters on Saturday mornings (and having my mom tape episodes so I could watch them whenever I wanted). I loved the original film from a very young age as well, although much of the fantastic humor was lost on me until I was older. When I stumbled upon this book, I was immensely excited to be able to one day share my love of Ghostbusters with my daughter, who oddly enough ended up being born on the day this book was released. The illustrations and story line in this book are incredible, and I love that they didn't dumb down the science for the young audience.

Very cute book. Perfect for parents who are looking for a nice bedtime story for kids.

This is the safe version of Ghostbusters, buy you will still encounter evil and terror dogs. I read this to my 3yo often because he loves it. Golden Books are the perfect length and number of words per page. This is a classic in its simplest form.

The book is nice but didn't come in a good condition at all.

My toddler grandson loves the Ghostbusters and these golden books are wonderful and reasonably priced.

Hilariously absent: the creepy stalker romance subplot between Peter and Dana. One point of contention: Ray DID mean to think of the Stay Puft Marshmallow man. He TRIED to think of the most harmless thing he could. But whatever.

I own two books of this brand now and can’t be happier about it- teaching my kids English combined with ghostbusters stories- this is perfection. Having this delivered overseas makes me so happy :-)
