Looks nice but not particularly accurate
Looks great and opens nicely thanks to a little lip on one part of the lid. It roughly points north, but as you can see from the images, where exactly it settles will vary fairly wildly. A bit of tapping/wiggling sometimes gets it to point more accurately, but sometimes doesn't.

Excellent little compass. Used it to set up some photo-electric cells at the farm. Tested it before use and found it surprisingly accurate. Am very pleased with it. D
