Love!
Cooking with this pan is a dream. I've even used it over a camp fire several times now, where the heat distribution feature really shines. The pan sits at the side, just 1/2 over flames and embers, and still, everything was evenly cooked with only a few stirrings needed, and clean-up was a breeze. The lighter weight of this pan is a big plus for me. I have a tiny wrist (people have laughed at it; it's THAT tiny) but have no trouble getting this pan safely off the fire using just one hand. That's with a heavy glass lid on top and the pan 3/4 full. After having retired a couple of ceramic non-stick pans in the past year, I find that this cast iron pan delivers far superior results and is made to last for a lifetime. I won't go back to non-stick, no matter how tough and safe it's marketed to be, they all fail after a while and likely have a long list of chemicals in them, that have never even been (sufficiently) tested for health risks. And last but not least, I also want to mention that the pan arrived with a lovely handwritten note. It adds a nice touch and probably even some flavor as I treasure this pan and all that goes into it.

The very best cast iron skillet I've ever used
This is by far the best cast iron skillet available in my experience. I've used Lodge, Field, and Marquette Castings (oh, and a Finex I borrowed from a friend one time). This skillet is the absolute best of the bunch. It is the lightest, best design, non-stick right out of the box and performs the best. It has a wonderful factory seasoning and the best handle design in my opinion. It also cleans up the easiest of the group for me. If I could give it ten stars I would! Wish I'd purchased this skillet first.

Great skillet
I love this pan already. I have had it for only a few days, but I have used it multiple times. It has a super smooth finish. It is easy to clean. It stays hot. It heats evenly. I have fried vegetables, reheated leftovers, and made a roux. After I wash it with soapy water, I dry it, then wipe a light coat of oil on it.

Beautiful Cast Iron Pan
This is a beautiful pan. It’s lightweight compared to a standard cast iron skillet of this size. Lovely design on the bottom that makes me happy. Cooking performance is excellent. No issues with the factory seasoning. It’s an expensive pan, but it works well and makes me smile and think happy thoughts when I see it.

An Upgrade Worth the Money
Very happy with this pan so far. It heats up faster and more evenly than my Lodge pans. It's much lighter than any cast iron I've used. The cooking surface is incredibly smooth. I've cooked steak, fish (no torn salmon skin!), veggies, and even eggs without any sticking woes. Some people have had issues seasoning the pan, but I've put a few layers of seasoning on it with no problems. If anything, I've found it easier to season than other pans. The factory seasoning came up way too easy (a steak pretty much stripped it down to metal), but the seasoning I put down myself is holding at least as well as it does on my Lodge. Overall, this pan is worth the extra money.

Light weight heavy cost
It is lightweight but no easier to clean than any cast iron pan. Certainly not worth the price.

I have read a lot about steaks & how to cook them. Got really interested when I learned steak & chips is the number one lunch patrons ordered in Parisian cafes. Lancaster make one of the best cast iron pans on the planet, according to America’s Test Kitchen. ATK also mentioned a cast iron skillet is ideal for cooking steak. They were right. This particular skillet is the business.

Best iron pan I have used. It looks very nice and the smooth surface makes it very non-stick if you take care of the pan.

It’s a very pretty pan, lightweight and sturdy, the only drawback is it’s very very hard to season.. much harder than any cast iron pan I’ve ever had
