I can definitely recommend this to people who may occasionally need a rasp or file, but if you'll need those tools with any regularity do yourself a favor and get full sized files and rasps.

If you can only have one wood file, this is a good choice
If you can only have one wood file in your tool kit, this is a good choice. I wanted a small tool kit that would have most of the tools I need for household jobs. I wanted a wood file in a metal file and this is a good choice if you need one file as a wood file.

30 years old and still good
I just bought this to replace an old Nicholson 4-in-hand I've used for 30 years and when I tried to toss out the old one I couldn't do it. It's not as sharp but still works so maybe I'll hang on to it just in case someone needs to borrow one.

Good value. Decent quality.
A little larger than it could be but honestly such a great file rasp combo. You can't go wrong. Would recommend higher if it was a little narrower and shorter but that's my fault for not checking the dimensions.
