Bought as a Christmas gift. Recipient was very happy with the range of materials and quality of the product.

While I personally don't think that the mannequin is of any real use (at least for the intended way) this does seem like a pretty nice little set for those getting into doing different types of art especially for those that like to combine different mediums with it being easily summed up as pencils/acrylics/oil pastels. I wouldn't say that the quality of any of those things in particular is outstanding in any way but each one has a good variety for doing an assortment of different art pieces and I appreciate that all 3 have the same amount. I tested each of them by doing some basic fruit studies and can confirm they all work as you would want (assuming the use of good paper) so no issues there. However the fact the acrylics aren't held very well in the case and want to fall out if opened on the 'wrong' side is a very awkward issue. Regardless it could potentially be recommendable as a sort of starter set before someone focuses more on to a specific medium.

The Short Of It I was looking for an art set for my niece, who is really getting into drawing and painting. I wanted something that felt a bit special and had a good variety of materials. This Elements set certainly delivered on that front, offering a decent range of tools and media in a really nice wooden case. It has definitely given her lots of fun and a solid foundation for her artistic journey. The Long Of It The set, which I picked for my young niece, comes in a wooden case, which I really like. It is made from solid beechwood, and I found it to be surprisingly well-made and presented for the price. Inside, I got a good selection of art supplies. There are twelve tubes of acrylic paint in various colours: white, black, yellow, orange, red, crimson, light blue, dark blue, green, light green, purple, and brown. I also found twelve coloured pencils. Their colours include black, grey, brown, light green, dark green, light blue, dark blue, purple, red, orange, yellow, and pink. Then there are twelve oil pastels, which are black, white, brown, dark green, light green, dark blue, light blue, purple, red, orange, yellow, and peach. Beyond the main drawing and painting materials, I was pleased to see some useful extras. I got two 2B pencils, which are great for sketching. There are three artist brushes in sizes 2, 4, and 6, which she uses quite a bit. The 5.5-inch mannequin is a nice touch for figure studies; she found it really helpful for getting proportions right. I also got an eraser, a metal pencil sharpener, and a plastic palette knife. This set has definitely helped to entertain her. In fact she spent the rest of the afternoon recreating a landscape scene she saw in a book, using the acrylic paints to get the sky just right and then sketching in the trees with the coloured pencils. She was really absorbed in it, which was lovely to see. On the whole, it seems like good value for under £25, which was the full price at the time of review. Pros • The wooden case feels really sturdy. • It has a good variety of different art materials. • The carrying handle on the case is very useful. They work on a good range of surfaces although some take to the paint better than others. The set comes with 12 Acrylic paints, 12 coloured pencils and 12 oil pastels, 2pcs 2B Pencils, 3pcs Artist Brushes Size 2, 4, 6, 1 Mannequin: 5.5 inches, 1pc Eraser, 1pc metal sharpener & 1pc Plastic palette knifel so it’s a great starter kit as well.

There's really not much to complain about with this product for under twenty pounds (at time of review), it would make a lovely gift idea for any budding artist. Rather nice selection of painting mediums, soft colouring pencils, acrylic paint, pastels, two pencils (2B) along with the various implements to use these materials. Rubber and pencil sharpener are thoughtfully included also. Everything stows away in plastic slots, providing you don't drop the case they remain in situ. Limited selection of everything however there's enough colours of each medium to give you a taste of whether its for you. Lightweight wooden case, solid enough complete with carry handle. Brushes are a bit cheap and basic but otherwise it's a lovely set.

My son absolutely loves sketching and is enjoying art in highschool. They recently started to learn about the differences between pencil types and how to use them so when presented with this set he was overjoyed. Not only does it have all of the various sketching pencils but also charcoal, smudging sticks, paints, brushes and pallet knife plus a plethora of other tools and an articulated manequin for sketcibody poses. It's all nice and neatly presented in a lovely wooden chest with clamps so it stays organised - the paints do tend to move a bit, but otherwise it's stable inside. The quality of the items is great and he's already experimenting with all of the various media he can. This is a wonderful set for budding artists to lean with.
