Just a purple leaf tea has a good taste. The size I ordered was reasonably priced. The tea is fresh. Nice aroma.

Great taste

This is the first purple leaf bud tea I ever found, so I had to try it. I was Pleasantly surprised. I will buy it again. The dry tes has a nice aroma. Brewed it is very nice It is almost like a Golden oolong with flowery fragrance, little to no acidic tannin astringency.. As such I can drink a lot of it. We drink it hot with or without milk and we use it to make iced tea too. All round it is a nice tea. I will buy it again.

The directions say to steep 1 tsp. There was barely any detectable flavor. Next I did 1 tbsp. Better, but not what I expected. At this rate I will get probably 1/2 of the expected 40 servings. The color...not purple. kind of a light brown. Won't buy again:(

Perfect quality, and a great taste

This tea had a light brown color when brewed, not remotely purple, and tasted awful. The first brewing was comparable to the third brewing of other teas, very weak. It was astringent as well. The packaging says it is "unique and elegant." It's unique in being the worst tea I have ever sampled. Elegant? No. When I tried to return it online, the site said it was ineligible for return. I then called Amazon customer service. The representative issued a refund immediately. Kudos to Amazon for being so responsive.

I like this tea. It has a nice mild flavor and it infuses the leaves twice very well. One thing I was disappointed considering it's called purple tea I expected my cup of tea would be at least a little purple. It wasn't. The liquor is a mild yellow/green. Even though, I would recommend this for you to try.

Lovely flavour. One has to drink this quite hot - otherwise the taste becomes bitter. Then, I don't add any sweetener so perhaps if you did, this would not be so unpalatable as it cools.

I disagree with any negative reviews of this tea. It is absolutely delightful... Honestly I have never really enjoyed floral teas, but I do enjoy the bittersweet floral notes in this tea, because the bitterness doesn't linger, however the ripe summer apple and grassy floral notes linger more, which is so nostalgic and reminiscent of cool summer evenings. I like to mix some of their white rhino tea in my infuser with the purple tea because it softens the flavor of the purple tea while enhancing the flavor of the white. The leaves unfurl slowly and I like to do a first steep of 250ml, and then a 2nd and 3rd steep of only 100-150 ml. The third steep really brings out the apple aroma that I am talking about. You need to find the right balance of tea for your cup because if you use too much it will be bitter, but you want to have enough to be able to enjoy the 2nd and 3rd steep as well. This tea tastes literally exactly like a floral-jasmine type of green tea; however I find the purple tea has a more relaxing quality. Enjoy.

I love tea. It's so nice to add something new to my tea cupboard. I make a pot and drink from it all day, just add more water. I highly recommend this tea if you are ready to try something different. The taste is very delicate, with wonderful top notes.
