Unlike anything else
I’m a life-long sorbothane fan, having used it throughout my active life of running, skiing, tennis, racquetball, pickleball, rollerblading and heavy lifting. Sorbethane is unique – rather than a foam, it’s solid. The feel underfoot is relatively firm, but the shock absorption is evident over extended wear. They’re heavier than foam inserts, but will last a lifetime – I’d trade weight for durability and performance every time. As I’ve aged, I’ve developed a Morton’s Neuroma (pinched, scarred, swollen nerve) in my right foot which is literally a constant pain. I put extra cushion in all my shoes, and usually use Poron 4000. But Sorbothane is better for long-term absorption, and it seems to alleviate my neuroma better than anything else I’ve tried while remaining thinner than most aftermarket cushions. It’s also made in the USA… that means something to me, as rubber from Asia seems to degrade over time, becoming sticky and less effective. Sof-Soles are an example – they use a “Sorbothane-like” rubber at the heel and ball, but this rubber is less effective and does not always cover the important areas of your individual foot while it’s active… especially for racquet sports or other sports that involve quick changes of direction. And then it quickly degrades into a sticky mess... so much so that I don't buy them any more. These insoles are classic and still the best in my opinion. If you find them heavy, then use them for training and protection and then swap out you original EVA soles for events. They used to be expensive, but other products have climbed to equal or greater price points, so cost is not a factor any more. I read the reviews saying they are narrow, and my foot is wide, so I bought the largest size (I wear a 9EE) and trimmed the toe area with scissors, which worked and fit perfectly in my shoes. I usually put added inserts under the my old and flattened EVA inserts, which are usually quite flat by this point so it doesn’t add much to the thickness. I keep the original EVAs for a little more cushioning, but mainly because the EVA soles tend to breath a bit better and make it easier to get my foot in and out. These are hard to find, so when you find them don’t hesitate! Your initial reaction may be that they are too firm, but give them a chance and you’ll start to see that they aren’t like any other insole, and the perceived firmness is actually a positive for most applications – there’s less slop in your shoes with these insoles. Highly recommended – I’ll buy a couple more when they become available again. Take it from an old guy – your feet become a real factor as you age, and if you don’t take good care of them, an active lifestyle becomes painful or impossible just when you need it most.

Shock absorption and comfort.
I purchased my first Sorbothane insole years ago and was so impressed with the shock absortion and comfort. This new one is thin enough to lay under the original insole. Very good shock absorption so far through pickleball 3x a week. The knees and feet feel fine after playing. Another keeper.

Best Insole Made
I would give them six stars if I could. Comfortable. I wear a size 11 and they fit fine. Not all that trimming required by other insoles sold. Not hot like some insoles I've tried. I had a couple of pairs of these I used for years in some shoes. I could not find them locally and tried what was on the local shelves. No comparison. These are so superior. Get some I don't think you will be disappointed.

Without the arch support they fit fine for the length of my shoes
I bought these (men's size 9.5-10.5) to use in new size 10 shoes with an arch support. Without the arch support they fit fine for the length of my shoes, however, with the extra length created due to the rise of the arch, they are 1/2" too short for my shoes. I definitely wish I would have ordered the next size up and just trimmed off any excess if needed. My other complaint is that mine seem very narrow in width. They are very thin, as advertised, and flexible. While they don't necessarily feel more comfortable to me than any other new insole, I suspect they will be more durable than most other insoles. I would probably buy again, but would purchase a larger size.

Essential for any walking shoe or boot
I put these in every shoe and boot I own, below the custom orthotics I have to wear. Good compromise between thickness and shock absorbtion. Long wearing, too, unlike competing products I've tried.

I’ll fitting insoles.
I found it almost impossible to put into my shoes. Could not put it in a smooth manner. When I could do it ( once in a while) I found that it made the shoes to tight.

They slips around in my shoes and bunch up. Not good for boots I have used the Sorbothane brand since the mid 80s. This is the first pair i regret using.
