This really helped myself and my wife come to agreement on what was important and flow through the home. When you are downsizing from 5500 sq ft to 3000 sg ft the flow through the home and room sizes become critical. We initially picked 23 designs and then down to 3 designs to get builder quotes onWorth every penny we spent to buy this

This book had a lot of home layouts for just about any taste and style. I found at least 18 suitable homes in different square foot arrangements to suite what we want. From there we eventually winnowed it down to several.What they are actually selling is blueprints for a nifty bundle for the homes you look at but any good home builder should have plans for homes like these that can be modified to suit and close to the style you pick. Our builder had no problem coming up with plans for a home like the one we showed him the floor plan of. This book simply gets you started in the right direction of what you may want. I found it very helpful.

vast majority of the plans are traditional, craftsman style homes. Very few modern, no coastal styles.

As I said, before, I love floorplans, and if I could with my siblings, I would make a floor planned with Three en suites for from each of the others, so that we would all have our privacy made the same way I described the other. I had a few other amenities as a realtor inside her, the features as a nurse I always assess the needs of the people so if I were to draw new floorplans, I would take everything into account and it would indeed be a dream home for everybody that was born after 1945 !

So many floor plans, photos, and descriptions which is helping me decide what I want to build. I highly recommend this book.

I have enjoyed looking through this book of house plans. A few have nice interior pictures. There are not many smaller house plans though, but if you are looking for medium to large they are abundant. Overall this is a great book and has a LOT to choose from.
