Dr. Brown's Baby's First Straw Cup (Pack of 1, Blue)

There’s nothing like dr brown’s. I’ve always been using this brand for my baby girl from the very beginning. However, for the Sippy cup I felt I should try few other well known brands and nothing came close to this brand. Speaking from experience I would recommend this brand without any doubt as it’s the best out there. Very pleased and satisfied indeed with everything.

Bought it the other day and clean all parts before use. When we were ready to let my son to try the cup it didn't work! Like some of the reviews mentioned that nothing came out from the straw. We tested the straw in different cups but no one can suck the water. I even cut an hole on the top part of the straw and still didn't work. So I thought it might be a defect and would like to replace one. The new one came in and we tried immediately before cleaning. It works! So we took all parts out and try to compare it with the previous one. They all look the same! Then I found out the reason why we couldn't get water out from the first cup we bought- we didn't tighten the top part to the straw! If you have the same problem as we did, try to pull out the top part of the straw after you clean it until you hear the click. If the top part of the straw can be easily taken out from the cup when you clean it, then you probably won't get any water from the cup.

I love this because my 8 month old has been using this for several months and has always been a "straw" drinker vs those bite valve kind. Pros def outweigh cons. CONs: the top doesn't snap off completely (easily) so my son tends to smack his face or get distracted by the lid. I wish it was a pop on pop off type -no insulation- I wish they made this same type of straw in a stainless steel version PROs: -not a bite valve so easy to use -not too fast of a flow so child doesn't gag from drinking too fast (and helps him pace himself) -simple design goes with whatever -does not leak if thrown in the diaper bag -weighted straw so can drink from any angle -handles go on and off easily Also I wish there were more colors but that could just be an Amazon thing. The blue is great and universal tho.

Easy to use and put together. No leaking. Cleaning is a bit more cause you have to really clean out the straw. It does come with a special brush just for cleaning straw. Not my sons favorite cup but he can drink fine from it. I think its because of the flat straw. The lid can get in the way while drinking. I like the measurements marked on this cup. Has a cute rabbit design. The handles move around no matter how tight the lid is on. I love that the straw has a weight so my son can drink from any position.

I like this sippy cup. Don't love it but I like it. The straw thing is a pain in the butt to clean but if you've used any Dr. Brown products before you're used to that. Lol! The way the straw leans forward creates a great way for my 1 year old to flick milk across herself and my kitchen. But she can make a mess with anything so I can't fully blame the cup. The lid gets in the way and frustrates her but otherwise she loves it.
