For the money, it is an excellent rifle scope

My first Vortex is rather disappointing***UPDATED***
Weird eye relief. I have it all the way forward in the rings and it is very picky where you put your eye. You have to find the sweet spot but away from and to the center. My Nikon Rimfire ($125), Cabelas 30-30 ($99 on sale), and Simmon ProTarget Rimfire ($65) scopes are much better in this regard. The complaints about fuzziness past 9x and brightness are right on as well. It shoots well and lines up during sight in. Nothing broke. However, I ordered a Simmons ProTarget Rimfire 3-9x40 ($65) for my .22WMR. I notice Amazon doesn't sell the ProTarget scopes (They have replaceable top turrets for .22LR and .17WMR). I will probably Craigslist the Vortex. I have never had any issues with the scopes I bought until now. This Vortex scope is disappointing. ***Sent it back under warranty. It took less than a day to get there (UPS) from the Twin Cities. 4 days later I received a brand new scope and an invoice that said I overtighted the scope rings (I used a torque driver @ 15#). Out of the box the first one had the "fuzzy" or eye relief issues. This one is crystal clear out to 12x and the eye relief is fine. Kudos to Vortex. They stand behind their product.*** ***Update #2 Installed on Marlin XT17VR with Monstrum Precision Picatinny Scope Rings. Finally got to the range and sighted it in. Scope and rifle worked great. Scope works as it should. Sharp and bright out to 12x with good eye relief.***

Works well. Have one on .308 and one on 30.06. Clear view , work well for me and my son.

Nice scope, very clear
I bought 2 of these put one on a 6.5 creedmore for my son and zeroed it, he shot his first deer with this scope and I used it as well for my deer this year, on my 30/06 that I put it on, not sure it’s tough enough for that round

Vortex copperhead
This scope was purchased as a back up for scopes costing hundreds more but after receiving it I was impressed with how clear it was and the overall quality. Tracks well 3 shot Zero will definitely purchase again
