Katy Perry Women's The Geli Flat Sandal

Aufgrund der Rezensionen habe ich eine Nummer kleiner genommen (39 statt 40) und sie passen perfekt und sind ein echter Hingucker :) Außerdem riechen sie wirklich sehr gut!

I got these both in the lemon and grape design. My daughter got the lemon and watermelon in a size larger. I normally wear a 9.5, but since these don't come in half sizes (bummer) I read other reviews and went down a size. The footbed is fine with the 9s, however, it seems as if the strap is placed too far back on the shoe or something as it really is snug in the crease between your foot and leg (like the front of your ankle.) I never put shoes on the loose-est hole, but with these I need to. I don't think the strap is exactly short, it just seems like the whole apparatus on the back is set back a little too far. I don't rreally think I have a short area between my toes and my leg. My daughter's fit the same way and hers were even a little long on her. it was almost as if her foot was strapped into the back so far that her toes could hardly reach the fruit in the front (and she bought her "real" size.) My shoes were smaller than I usually buy which means the strap should even be further forward since the shoe is shorter, but they weren't. They don't hurt or anything, but I can feel that strap even when I am sitting down. I see it in the product photos where the strap is really against the women's feet. I have had shoes where only the toe is secured and there is a strap across your instep to hold the shoe on. Maybe they need to be pretty firmly on since the strap is further back just to keep the shoe in place. I just wanted to post the description so if you have trouble with straps, these may not work for you. Having said all of that, they are very cute. They do have scent which is weird, but fun. The lemon ones sort of smell like furniture polish, but you don't notice it unless you are really up close to it. The grape ones smell like grape kool-aid, and the watermelon ones are a very faint smell sort of like a jolly rancher. I do wear mine and maybe with wear the strap will stretch a little or something. They do not offer any support as you probably expected from a shoe like this. They are so cute though that I still really like them. Keep in mind that light (especially fluorescent light) can discolor plastics, so I am keeping mine in the box in my closet when I am not wearing them. I noticed that they are different prices on the zappos website sometimes (mine were sold by them here.) I think amazon owns zappos so the price difference was odd (usually it is the same.) One of my daughter's pairs had a discount applied at checkout (amazon was the seller) so check back and forth to get the best price!

I got these sandals because they looked cute and original. They certainly did not disappoint. They came looking exactly like the pictures. They smell wonderful. They fit comfortably but a little bit big, but then again, my size is actually 5 even though I wear size 6 for some shoes. Though it might be better to get 1 size smaller if u have small and narrow feet.

These sandals are a matte metallic platinum gold. They are comfortable and secure yet regal and sexy. These dreamy sandals make me feel like tomorrow morning I'll wake up beside Pharaoh. The toe post and the ankle strap are fine, I have no issues at all with either and these run true to size. I'm a size 9 and the size 9 fits like a dream. However, given my narrow meatless feet one should take my review with a grain of salt... Or sand? Very beautiful and incredibly unique, they're sure to grab eyes and intrigue. Perfect for picnics, the cafe, the library, dinner, house parties and more. I love that it looks like I'm wearing real golden sandals. I've worn them for both long and short walks with no problem. If you're not used to "zero drop" shoes, you may want to build up a tolerance for that gradually. My rating loses a star for the cheap musty floral Payless Shoesource smell. I expected frankincense and myrrh. Is this supposed to be lotus? Anywho, for sandals this fire, why is the scent giving me flashbacks of a discontinued store I visited as a little kid in the late 90s early 2000s???? Forget the palace, these smell like the embalming room! This is my second pair of Katy Perry gelis. First pair are the lime ones which smell fantastic and made my closet smell like lime candy. These matte gelis have a different skinfeel than the shiny semi transparent gelis. Less squeaky more smooth. UPDATE Discoloration occurs on the insole where the pressure points are (heel, ball of foot, toes) revealing that these sandals are in fact "painted" the matte platinum gold. The gold that's underneath the paint is more shiny and looks like normal gold. However it doesn't change the overall look, feel or function of the sandal when worn on the feet (the pyramid and straps still look the same. Nobody is going to see the changed insole while it's being worn). To be fair, I walk in these A LOT so I highly doubt most peoples' pairs will be anywhere near as worn (literally!)

So, these are 10/10 on a cuteness meter, but unfortunately they’re only a 6/10 in terms of comfort between the toes. I’ve lived at the beach most of my life, so I already knew how slippery jelly shoes would be after getting out of the water, but I wasn’t expecting the discomfort between the toes where the palm tree embellishments are. I’ll wear them poolside or to friends’ houses for get together where I won’t have much walking to do, but I’ll never wear them to the beach again or to anyplace that requires trekking around.
