Night and day difference
My boyfriend and I recently moved in together, and his cat was NOT fond of having a dog live with her. He was very respectful of her boundaries, but she was getting more and more territorial - even hissing/swatting at him while he was fast asleep on the couch, totally unprompted. There seemed to be no rhyme or reason to it and we were too scared to leave them alone together. Within 2 weeks of plugging this in, our little family is sharing the couch for movie nights with no issue. Our kitty is feeling much more comfortable and confident, which has reduced the stress for us all! We're SO very grateful, worth every penny and then some.

This new formula is the greatest of all time
I have 5 cats and a small house. I have used Feliway classic in the past. It did work in a way. The good cats were even friendlier and the two problematic cats were maybe a little more relaxed but both were still doing problematic things. One marks and the other angrily growls from on top of the fridge sequestering herself from the rest of the pack. So I stopped using Feliway Classic cause its expensive and it just wasn't stopping the problems. Anyway, things went from bad to worse. The marking increased and the fridge cat seemed increasingly pissed and anxious. So anxious she starting going outside the litter box not wanting to leave the safety of the kitchen. I was also feeling intense guilt that her golden years were seeming like they were going to be spent angry on top of a fridge only coming down to relieve herself. Both were looked at by a vet. The one that marks was put on fluoxetine and special food but it still didn't stop the marking entirely. I decided to give Feliway another chance hoping that in addition to medication we could stop the marking. Then I see it A NEW FORMULA! I bought four. There are two in the kitchen and two in the living room (overkill maybe). I made it harder for angry cat to get onto the fridge by putting cat food up there and moving some things around. I put a heated cat bed on the kitchen table and she got in. It certainly wasn't perfect but now that she was down off the fridge we can play with her and give her attention. Unfortunately the other cats were interested in the bed too. She went out to the catio and came back in looking for her bad only to find another cat in it. I bought another heated bed and put it in the living room but everyone seems to want hers. A few nights pass and she just starts walking out to the living room like she hasn't been living on top of the fridge for two years. My boyfriend and I were playing video games and just kind of stopped and watched in wonder and amazement. She jumps up on the couch nestles in and takes a nap. The marking one isn't too pleased with this but has only marked once this week and it was on the couch (go figure), probabably cause it smells like the angry cat. But in one week my cranky anxious cat is acting way more comfortable and the marking one only marked once. I am so happy right now. I have tears in my eyes writing this review. If you are having problems I think you owe yourself and cats one more chance.

Great product, awkward setup
I bought this at a vet recommendation to help calm my cat who was losing fur due to some stress. The way the plugin is made, it makes it nearly impossible to use, especially with how my apartment is set up. The plugin requires an entirely empty upright outlet set with nothing blocking it or set above it. The way my apartment is set up, we have almost no outlets that are not blocked my furniture, and those that are out in the open, I couldn't sacrifice both slots as they were needed for essential things such as wifi.I did end up buying the Feliway calming spray instead, and that worked WONDERS to help my cat's stress and he grew his fur back in no time! I definitely recommend the brand, but I would recommend going with the spray instead as it is easier to use.

Not Working
HIstory: I have a 7 month old female who, her and 3 siblings were rescued by a friend at 4 weeks. Mom was nowhere to be found and all four were in rough shape. A plea for help went out to help foster the kits until a home could be found. I agreed to foster one, became attached and decided to keep her. She needed to be bottle fed with KMR formula, had worms and severe diarrhea. Off to the VET we went and is in perfect health today. She has been spoiled with attention, toys, love and was a very loving cat who curled up around my neck when she napped. At 4 months she started becoming aggressive by attacking my face in the middle of the night for whatever reasons and drew blood. This aggression has increased to the point where it impossible to touch her. She will launch and latch onto my hand, growling, kicking & biting as if it was prey, not let go and draw blood. When she does this it is very painful and difficult to get her loose. So now I just respect her space and still show her affection but it has to be on her terms.Calming: A friend had purchased some calming collars for their cats and gave me one. That was nothing more than a Lavender walking air freshener. The only benefit it had is that I knew what room she was hiding in because the scent was very overpowering. Into the trash that went.Feliway: Researched their website, saw that is VET approved but I had a gut feeling and I was very hesitant to purchase this for $30. But, I thought I would give this a try and perhaps it will prove me wrong. My gut feeling turned out to be correct. I have been using the diffuser for 5 days now and there has been absolutely no change with her aggression.I understand that, like human beings, all cats are different and by no means am I discrediting Feliway. Perhaps 5 days isn't enough time for her?My advice, this is a 50/50. Use your judgement or go with your gut feeling. There is no guarantee that this product will work for all cats. For the cost of refills, I will not be ordering any in the future. There is a good article to read about the product on Cats.com. One paragraph states"To make it even more complicated, most of the research showing the supposed positive benefits of Feliway products was funded by Ceva Animal Health. This is the company that produces Feliway. Whilst scientific studies are bound by strict ethical rules, the results are still harder to trust."

Didn't work for my cats.
Bought this to diffuse (pun intended) agression between our 2 cats. I had better results with the TheraPet brand, which has a two-hormone mix. Tried these b/c I thought it would be easier to order via Amazon and it was labeled "Optimum" so thought it might be the same--apparently it's not. Price difference between the brand is slight.
