Love the new upgraded base. Takes a little getting used to the symbols but I like it.

I have been a Blendtec fan for the last 13 years, and have recommended them to so many people. We used our old Blendtec 3-4 times per day with never an issue, so when our Blendtec of 13 years died I didn’t hesitate to replace it. Unfortunately the build quality of the new blenders is terrible. Every recipe I have made so far (the exact same recipes we made daily for years) has given me an E-2 error. I called customer support and they informed me that they have changed their engines so that if the blender is beyond 1/2 filled or if it is a thick batter, it will give an overload code. Perhaps this doesn’t seem unreasonable to some, but considering the old model worked just fine on thick and over filled blends (and this is why I loved it) it is definitely a substantial decrease in quality. They didn’t seem to mind when I said we would be leaving their company. To Vitamix we go.

Me gusto mucho justo lo que buscaba porque yo tenía también la vitamix y no estaba feliz que igual es buena pero para mi gusto …. Me encanto mas blendtec

We are blendtec loyalists over here. My husband and I ran a coffee shop back in the day, and we used blendtec. Thousands and thousands of smoothies with zero issues ever. So of course that is what we bought for our house. Our first one worked like a champ for a decade and then we gave it to our oldest when he moved out and replaced it with the designer model, which worked for 6 years before the motor started acting up. I couldn't wait for a warranty claim to get my old one fixed because I use the blender several times a day so I bought this. It made one smoothie and wouldn't start again. I sent it back and ordered another of the same. Exact same problem. I do not know what is wrong with this model, but something. I'm so disappointed.

The lid leaks. I made double sure the lid was snapped tightly into place. I tried several different speeds with different amounts and the only way I could keep it from leaking out of the top was to put pressure on the lid.
