NOW Foods Supplements, Glucosamine & Chondroitin Extra Strength, Sulfate Forms, 120 Tablets

I give one tablet a day to my 67 lb Pit Bull and at 8 years old now in 2021, it's doing him lots of good. Sulfate which comprises chelated minerals like this are often not found in all products boasting Glucosamine and Chondroitin. Many are HCL in composition which are way inferior to the product you find here. I like the fact that It's still a non GMO product as well. Pre packaged dog foods can't be trusted at providing quality chelated minerals and the dosage amount included often isn't high enough for your pets. I've used this product for the last 2 years and with no abnormal side effects with my dog. It treats his mild arthritis and helps to prevent future joint pain. The pills are huge. That is true. Fortunately they're also scored for splitting in half for smaller dogs. BTW- YES the horse sized pills also work on humans too. Seriously you can't go wrong with this purchase . The potency of each dosage per pill is higher than most of their competitors including those in capsule form. Sure capsules are easier to swallow but they're so much more expensive to purchase.

Quality supplement.

Works great! My dog had knee surgery at a year old and the vet said to keep her on glucosamine/chondroitin supplements for the rest of her life. We didn't stay with the pills from the vet (Glycoflex) because #1 way more expensive and #2 they were full of other ingredients -poor baby has food allergies as well so these pills are ideal. To get her vet suggested dosage (1500mg glucosamine/1200mg chondroitin) she needs just 2 pills a day that believe it or not she eats without fuss when it's put on her kibble. The pills are scored down the middle and are super easy to split in half if you need to. The only possible complaint is that when pills are put into daily pill containers during the humid summer months (we live in MA.) they do start to crack and can be crumbled up over our dogs food. We don't care since the dog chews them anyways but that MIGHT be an issue for humans swallowing so I've added a picture to give you an idea of what I'm talking about. We still have to use some hand strength to get it into pieces so I don't think this outweighs the benefits at all. Our dog will be 14 yrs old in a couple of months and is still moving really well(as in running, chasing, general mayhem,etc.). Everytime we've run out and she misses a couple days we see a very clear difference in her mobility(limping, stiffness). I love and trust this brand for my own health needs so it only made sense that my "baby" use them too!

These are packaged well. The pills are large so if you struggle with that you might have to break these in half. They don’t upset my stomach and I’m happy with the quality so far

It’s a big pill!

I have used this after having different medications failed me or gave me stomach problems. It took a few weeks to start working, but it did. Then, my husband bought a different brand that was on sale at Krogers. I started hurting again. I told the Doc that the Glucosamine & Chondroitin wasn't working anymore and did she have something else to suggest. She asked if I had changed brands and, of course, I admitted that I had. She told me to go back to NOW. I did and, after a week or two, I started feeling better. So this is the Glucosamine & Chondroitin that worked for me...not any other brand.

These are large tablets, but I have no problem taking them. I have been taking for a month now. Just reordered more. Something is making a difference in my knees and this is the only thing I am doing different. So I believe they are helping. Play pickleball and have had a lot more mobility and not as bad sleeping with legs hurting.

These things are huge. Really hard to swallow.
