QEP 4 in. x 9.5 in. Molded Rubber Grout Float with Non-Stick Gum Rubber, Black

I'm a female tile setter so I obviously have smaller hands. This float fits my smaller hands really well so I'm not wasting energy fighting with a poorly sized (for me) tool. The foam is firm but not rigid- I like using this particularly for wall tile. Very basic utilitarian float, nothing fancy here but it's a quality tool. I clean first with a margin trowel but always finish with a brush or sponge to keep the rubber from hardening. A little extra work will keep it in good repair for a long time.

The grout in our shower needed to be replaced. It was all these tiny tiles a little larger than a quarter, with spaces in between. Digging it out was a serious pain. Putting the new grout in, with this device, was super easy and actually satisfying. I would use this grout float again, but I would love to have somebody else remove the old grout first.

I ordered this because I could not find my old float which I have had for 20 years. This one spreads grout well and should last quite a while. Would buy again (in another 20 years LOL).

I used this to regrout a kitchen floor using sanded tile. My previous float was a gray rubber that was smooth. This one has some texture to it so I wasn't sure how well it would work but the texture didn't seem to make any difference in the smoothness of the final grout. It's stiff enough to force grout deep into the groove yet flexible enough to compensate for slight differences in tile heights. The construction feels solid and I expect this to last me quite a while.

Bought this because my wife wants me to grout the tiles. Well I didn’t do it yet but I’m sure I’ll love it.

Sturdy float

I decided to regrout our shower after watching some YouTube videos. It was my first time doing a project like this so maybe I did something wrong, not sure. I used this grout float with premixed grout. As I was applying the grout, the float was getting ripped apart by it. Little flecks of black were coming off the float into the grout! Maybe it's meant for only a different style of grout? That was not clear to me before use. It did work and I was able to clean up the specks that had flaked off. I won't be able to use the float again since it got shredded up. It worked for the project but idk, I don't think that was supposed to happen.

I started to do ceramic tiles and did not have this tool..and had difficulties in doing properly the grouting..it did not look good..but once I started to use this tool..WOW..different story. Using this tool when grouting make it look not only good, but professional.
