Be careful with the USB port
I plugged the idragon into my iphone and in less than a minute I was copying files over to an SD card I bought separately. After i was finished transferring files over to the SD card I wanted to see if this card reader would work on my Playstation. The physical design of the USB port is fairly thin metal and that metal got caught in the USB port on my playstation. I had to practically break the metal on the idragon of the USB port to free it from my playstation. Now the port on my PS3 is bent too. I would not recommend connecting this product to a USB port, the metal is very thin and can get stuck.Otherwise product worked for what I needed it for.

Very useful!
I have a few of these devices, different brands, but they all do the same thing for me – extend the storage capacity of my iPhone 6 Plus 128GB just that bit further to allow me to travel with whatever TV shows and movies I care to take with me. I’ve managed to end up with a few of these devices mainly because they come up on lightning deals a fair bit, and they’re just really cheap. I figure I’ll order another just in case I lose one, or it stops working. The fact is though – none of them have stopped working, nor have I lost any, so I’ve now got a collection! Good to have backups, I guess. One thing I love about this device over the others: it’s so easy to remove memory cards from it! There’s no struggling to pull out a micro SD card from a USB-port reader using your fingernails and praying you don’t damage either the card or your nail :).It’s worth noting that you need to supply your own storage card with this device – there is no built in memory. It requires an SD card or micro SD card. I use a couple of different brands of memory cards, mostly household names like Sandisk, but also a few no-name, slower cards. The only time the slowness of the card has been an issues is when I use my PC to copy a movie from my hard drive to the memory card. It doesn’t affect playing a movie via the device. Related to that point – I don’t tend to use this device as a card reader using the USB port connected directly to my laptop, mainly because it’s USB2.0 rather than 3.0, and therefore much slower to write to. If that’s important to you it would be worth looking for a similar device that supports USB3.0 (there are loads out there, and for a similar price). As I said above, I just use this device to extend my phone storage for videos when I’m travelling (which I do every couple of months). I transfer whatever I think I might want to watch from my PC or external hard drive to an SD card, insert the SD card in the device, plug the device into my iPhone using the lightning connection, press ‘Allow’ when the popup comes up to access the app, choose the video I want to watch, settle back and relax. Easy! You may be wondering why I bother with this device when I have 128GB worth of storage already in my phone – basically – it’s full (music, books, photos, my absolute favorite forever-watchable videos, apps, offline maps for travel etc). Also, using this device is so much faster and easier than removing/replacing items in the internal phone storage via iTunes where I have to be more careful of format and size etc. It’s also way easier, and much more cost effective, than using the cloud to stream movies – which, of course, requires access to the internet which in some places is just not possible (e.g. some flights, hotels with slow/metered wifi, overnight bus trips). In terms of functionality, I’ve yet to come across an unplayable file. Most of my movies and TV shows come from DVDs I’ve bought, ripped to my PC then converted to MP4 using Handbrake. The app is fine, reasonably intuitive, has never crashed. I’ve mainly been using a Sandisk 128GB micro SD card, and the device reads it without any problems. Not sure what would happen with a 256GB or above micro SD card though. The description says ‘support 8GB-128GB’ so I’m assuming an error would pop up with 256GB. The physical size of the device is awesome – very pocket friendly at about 2 inches long – and it comes with very solid protective covers for the ports, which I will no doubt lose at some point, but appreciated nonetheless! The lightning port is about the same length as the usual lightning charger connection and while the device itself is not that thick if you have a thicker-style cover or case and you’ve had issues in the past in getting connections to fit, this device may be no exception. Don’t forget Amazon has a great return policy! In the interest of a thorough review, I borrowed a friend’s Android phone to test the micro USB connector. No major issues to report, although transferring videos was slower than I thought it would be, but that may have been influenced by the SD card as well. Certainly nothing worth knocking a star off for. I also transferred some photos between my iPhone and the SD card just to test it out and didn’t have any problems. Finally, the color is great. Most of these devices are grey, silver, or gold so the vibrant metallic blue makes for a nice change.

USB host is VERY HARD to fit into a USB slot. - I DO NOT recommend this product when there are other similar products available.
as of Nov 4 2017 -app worked fine for iphone 6s w/IOS 10.3.2-app helped transfer files to Micro SD or the SD card slot-micro USB plug worked as normal.-USB host DOES NOT FIT properly to usb plugs. The plastic blue part is too thick to into a USB slot easily. I have attempted many different USB plugs and I conclude it DOES NOT fit properly. So basically transferring to computer is physically a risk to damaging your computers usb slot or the USB stick portion. I did however get it to fit into a USB slot once but with extreme difficulty and physical play of the USB stick while being VERY VERY careful not to break both the USB stick or the USB slot. When connected it did work.-***I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND this product primarily because there's just better built and priced USB sticks with better quality (regardless if it served my purpose for just using it on the iphone).****-In addition I got this USB stick with kind of a curve on the entire stick

WOW, this thing works as advertized
WOW... I was skeptical at first, but took a chance knowing I could return it. I've bought cool looking electronic jewels in the past only to be disappointed. With this quite the opposite. This little jewel is amazing. Super easy to set up, in fact the first time you pop it in your iPhone or iPad it asks you if you want to download it's app and then takes you right there. I copied movies to a 128GB micro SD card, inserted that into this reader and attached it to my phone. I just works flawlessly, just as advertised. Very simple, very straightforward app that simply works as you would expect. Works the same on my iPad. Now at the gym I set my iPad on the treadmill in front of me, put on my Bluetooth earbuds, and once I get into the movie, forget that I'm on a treadmill burning calories! I use Movavi screen capture to grab movies from Netflix and Prime video, then pop them into the SD card, I can fit 30-40 HD movies on the 128GB. With this thing, I'm not using up precious memory in my phone as when I used to put movies into my Apple devices using iTunes. And, with less hassle, no putzing with iTunes menus and them having to sync... with this, simply copy movies (or pics or music or just data files) to the SD or micro-SD card and plug this into you iPhone or iPad. It's almost one of those "if it sounds to good to be true, it probably isn't" deals, but in this case it works great. For $20 it's a bargain for all the extra flexibility my iPhone and iPad now have.

Okay device, the app could use some real work
This works as advertised, but there were no clear instructions on what app I needed to download that is compatible with the device, and additionally my iPad is finicky about recognizing when the device is connected, so I need to unplug it and replug it in multiple times. Not truly related to the device, but the app could be so much better :-( It does not recognize photos that have already been imported, which means that if I'm using it to import photos from an SD card each night when I'm on vacation, I either need to delete all the photos off my SD card each night (I'm loath to do this), use a fresh SD card each day, or select each photo one by one to import just the photos I want from that day. Ugh.
