Easy Rectorseal repair
I noticed my HVAC unit was shut down and I could not figure out what was wrong. After careful inspection and turning the circuit breakers off/on, I realized the cleaning brush on my Rectorseal had snapped and was laying in the drainage tube. I tried super gluing it back together to no avail. Once the plunger in the lid can no longer be pushed up by the cleaning brush, the unit thinks water is in the system and shuts everything down as a precaution. My HVAC unit had the original EZ Trap 220 model which is no longer available to purchase. After calling the company, they recommended the Rectorseal 83226 EZ Trap 226 as a replacement. I purchased this model, shut down the electrical power breaker on my unit and then attached the existing wire to the new cap. The installation was simple. It prongs fit perfectly. No rewiring needed. The system restarted and worked perfectly. Even though I did not use the PVC parts or wire, I was worth the $21.

Worked like a champ. Fixed my water level issue. My old one was sticking open, causing my AC to remain off. Not cool…lol. Yeah, I said that. Cheap fix instead of calling the AC repair guy.

Good part, just wish I didn't get all the extras
All I needed was a new cap piece. This was the cheapest package of items to get it. Did the job but felt like a waste of materials because I didn't need the cable or the PVC.
