The drive became slow and eventually unreadable in 2 months of casual use. Looks like many others have the same issue.

Great item does what it says on the tin.

Does what i wanted it to do and pretty fast for the price.. worth the money .. good value ..

If it had the built in connecting cord (like earlier Buffalo hard disk) it would have been better . We could avoid connecting each time

It's only been a few weeks, but so far no complaints. I'm not sure if the drive ever sleeps which may be of a concern with lifetime. The USB connector is a USB 3.0 Micro type B. Would be nice if it was simply a type A. Case is pretty sturdy. It's been knocked on the floor twice by an inquisitive cat and no harm from that 2ft fall onto ceramic tile. Transfer speeds are fine. I often have this connected to my router (NetGear with usb 3.0 port) as a media drive. Works great and is much more stable than my ethernet-connected NAS. Well worth the price. Hopefully it has longevity.

Does NOT WORK for Sony Playstation 5 disc edition. Says not compatible. I'm sure my son will find another use for it so my $200 doesn't go to waste.

This small external hard drive is easy to store but huge on storing data. I use this to save power point lectures.
