Good purchase - updated Oct 2024
Oct 2024 Update: The new clock the company sent me appears to be working a lot better than the one I originally got so I have increased the stars to 5. It is not completely glitch free but we haven't had anywhere near as many problems with it as we did with the first one AND the glitches are no worse than what we had with our 2 previous atomic clocks made by other companies. I now believe the first one was probably just a defective clock and this one is more representative of the clocks quality. As stated below this company reached out to me after reading my review and replaced the clock that was no longer eligible for return due to the time that had passed. That says to me they stand behind their product making this clock worth purchasing. March 2024 Update: The company contacted me after reading my review in an effort to try & resolve the problem. After their suggested fixes didn't work, they offered to send me a new clock, free of charge, in the hope that the first one was just defective. It is so rare anymore to find a company that actually tries to make sure their customer is happy. I will come back & update this review again once we have the new clock and have given it a few months to make sure it works properly. Love the look of this clock, love how big the numbers are and how easy it is to read everything even at a distance. With that said, all that is great as long as the clock keeps the correct information on its display. This is not our first Atomic clock, it is our 3rd, but it is the first one that has had this issue. We hung it in the exact same place the others were hung. However this one, on several occasions, has jumped ahead to a different date and time when it did its updating. Unfortunately, the first time it happened we thought it was a one time thing and that it would be fine but it has done it several times now, of course well after the return date has expired. While it is a relatively easy fix, you just have to move it to a window and leave it there until it corrects itself, you shouldn't have to do that at all, at least not multiple times. Since we can't return it we will live with it for now but I will not buy this brand again and I would never give it to someone as a gift. Our previous clock was a Panasonic and we will probably go back to one of them when we decide we have had enough of this one and its issue.

Good clock with accurate time.
Love this new clock. Good price and easy to set up. It looks real good up there on my wall. The display is easy to see and read, and you can hang it on the wall or use the lock stand to put it on a table.

Nice clock, big display.
The WallarGe Atomic Clock with Outdoor and Indoor Temperature is a remarkable addition to any home or office, combining the accuracy of an atomic clock with the convenience of tracking both indoor and outdoor temperatures. Here's my take on this 12.5-inch self-setting digital timepiece. Precision (5/5): The standout feature of this atomic clock is its unparalleled precision. It synchronizes automatically with the atomic time signal, ensuring that you always have the exact time down to the second. This feature is not only convenient but also essential for tasks that require precise timing. Setup and Installation (4/5): Setting up the WallarGe Atomic Clock is relatively straightforward, thanks to the detailed instructions provided. However, it's important to note that it may take a bit of time for the clock to sync with the atomic signal, especially if you're in an area with poor signal reception. Once synchronized, though, it maintains accuracy flawlessly. Temperature Monitoring (4/5): The inclusion of both indoor and outdoor temperature sensors is a handy addition. It provides real-time temperature data, allowing you to make informed decisions about your indoor climate and outdoor activities. The only minor downside is that the outdoor sensor's wireless range may be limited in some situations. Display (4/5): The large, clear LED display is easy to read from a distance, even in low-light conditions. The digits are bold and well-illuminated, making it effortless to check the time and temperature at a glance. The clock's 12.5-inch size also makes it a standout decorative piece. Design and Build (4/5): The WallarGe Atomic Clock boasts a sleek and modern design that complements various home or office settings. The build quality is decent, but it could be improved to feel sturdier. Nevertheless, it does not compromise its functionality. Battery Backup (4/5): The clock includes a battery backup feature, which is essential in case of power outages. However, the backup battery is not included, so you'll need to purchase one separately. Value for Money (4/5): Considering its atomic timekeeping, temperature monitoring capabilities, and large display, the WallarGe Atomic Clock offers good value for money. It's a versatile addition to your space, especially if precision and temperature monitoring are priorities. Conclusion: The WallarGe Atomic Clock with Outdoor and Indoor Temperature is a reliable timekeeping device that offers precision, temperature monitoring, and a sleek design. While it may take a bit of time to initially synchronize and could benefit from a sturdier build, its features make it a valuable addition to any home or office. Whether you need precise timekeeping or want to keep an eye on temperature fluctuations, this atomic clock delivers functionality with style.

Great functionality, just check your measurements first
I bought this for the atomic self-setting feature and the temperature display, and it works exactly as it should. The time synced up without any hassle and the screen is easy to read. However, I completely misjudged the scale of this thing based on the photos. Even though the dimensions are listed, the product images made it look much more substantial in my head. When it actually arrived, I realized it was a bit smaller than I had envisioned for the space I had picked out. It’s entirely on me for not pulling out a tape measure beforehand, but it's something to keep in mind if you're trying to fill a large wall. Aside from my own sizing mistake, the clock itself is solid. It found the signal for the atomic time quickly, which usually saves me the headache of manually adjusting it. The indoor and outdoor temperatures seem accurate enough for what I need. Because it was a bit smaller than expected, I ended up using it as a desk clock instead of hanging it, and it works perfectly in that role. It’s a good piece of tech; just make sure you’re clear on the actual footprint before you order.

This is a good one!
This thing’s great! I’ve had a Sharp atomic clock for a few years, but the outdoor temperature transmitter would only connect to the clock intermittently, and the time zone would change randomly. This new clock works exactly as it should. It’s not made to illuminate in low light or darkness, but it’s perfect for a kitchen or living room.

Durable and easy to use.
Awesome clock. I had no luck with analog quartz clocks that I hung in my enclosed outdoor patio area. Would stop working after 4-5 months. This new digital clock is great. Its hung under cover, but seems to do well in outdoor temps. In addition to keeping perfect time, the temp and calendar feature are nice features as well.

Works well after 2 weeks. Can set itself from WWV. Room for a few improvements.
After a few weeks of use, these seem like 4-5 star items. Decently priced ($20-$30), they are not internet connected and therefore do not spy on you. Automated time setting from WWV worked ok. but is not immediate. To set itself the clock needs to receive a signal from the US Atomic Clock station WWV which is a shortwave radio station that reflects off the ionosphere and is receivable, intermittently, nationwide. A telescoping antenna and frequency switch (WWV uses 5, 10, and 15 Mhz but the clock apparently receives only one of these) to help receive WWV could be useful on a future version. The clock also has a remote sensing thermometer. The remote and the base do have frequency switches for various UHF frequencies near 430 Mhz. The remote sensor does not appear to be waterproof, so we sealed ours inside a white PVC pipe.

Easy to set up an easy to read!
This atomic clock is just the right size, perfect for an elderly person to read the time and temperature. It has a sensor for outside as well. That outside temperature also shows up on this atomic clock.

Better than expected ... so far.
Aside from being practical, this clock really looks nice. I'm using it as a wall clock and it complements the room. The display is easy to read. It has a wide angle of view, you can even read it from the side. The smaller font date and temperature are even readable from 20 feet. Even in dim light, everything is readable. Upon installing the batteries, within 5 minutes, it synced with the atomic clock. It's within 1 second with my phone clock. The signal is strong and constant. I live in Toronto, Canada, and the clock is located in the basement and also far from the window. The indoor and outdoor temperature sensors are consistent with each other when placed close. The difference is no more than 0.5 degrees. I haven't installed the sensor outside as of this writing. I like that this clock runs on batteries, so no cord that ruins the look. Not to mention that it has low battery warning, for both the clock and the outdoor sensor. The manual is clear and comprehensive. I'm happy I chose this atomic clock among so many. It's definitely 5 stars .. so far. UPDATE: To those who are not getting accurate temperature from the outdoor sensor -- it's location, location, location! Read on ... So, I've installed the sensor outside. I stuck it horizontally under the upper member of the window frame to protect it from the elements. I observed the readings for days. I found that the reading is higher than the actual temperature (based on Weather.com). If the temperature is above freezing, the difference is 2-3 degree C. If it's below that, it gets worse. I was very disappointed, and I wanted to change my rating from 5 to 3 stars. But I thought, maybe it's because of its proximity to the window (which is normally warmer since it's heated by interior of the house), and to the ground (since it's a basement window). So, instead, I hung it on the wire fence, which is 4 feet away from the window (not too far to get good reception) and 4 feet above the ground. And voila, I'm getting the right temperature now ! Or at least, within 0.5 degrees C. Since now it's exposed to the elements, I put tape on all gaps, except for the sensor opening, over which I put a hood. I'm still getting the right temperature. It will get only little sun since it's located in the narrow gap between houses. Still, I will observe the effect during high noon. So, I'm keeping the 5 stars. I hope others will learn from this.
