Helped considerably with isolation and sound quality
After reading many reviews I decided to give these a try. Not sorry I did. They are for Sennheiser IEM CX400bt and not the exact fit recommended for these earbud tips. I have found that these are slightly too long for these earbuds. I am experimenting with shaving a little bit off the back until the fit is right. For others it may be just fine. The isolation has doubled from the original silicone tips. They do take a little bit of patience to get the installation into the ear right. Squeeze too much and there is no grip while the memory foam expands into the ear canal. Don't squeeze enough and the earbuds wont go in and there is no grip. I have experienced no issue so far with the tips falling off the buds and staying in my ears as some have reported. Sound quality has improved in some ways and stayed the same in others. Bass is tighter and more solid than before do to tighter seal. The high end is slightly recessed due to the longer length of the tips and the wax guards which I am going to take out. Once I get them trimmed to correct length and remove the wax guards and listen for a while I will get a better idea and update the review. So far I have seen no evidence of any deterioration or disintegration of the foam. These are used 8-10 hours a day so they see some heavy use. Update 1: Before I hit submit I trimmed the tips to the same length as the original silicone tips and what an immediate difference. That made these sound almost as good as the hifiman planar headphones direct off the DAC. I have never these buds sound this good. I have tried several of my test tracks that I know almost as good as the artist and I cannot believe that tips can make that much difference in the sound of IEM's. That bass is even more tight than I ever heard before. the high end opened right up and what I am still trying to figure out is the huge increase in imaging and soundstage. It's like the buds are not there as the soundstage is several feet around my head. This is by far the absolute biggest improvement I have heard in all my years of tweaking and upgrading audio equipment. All for $20 for 3 simple little pieces of memory foam. It is hard to believe that it is streaming over Bluetooth Aptx and can sound this good. These are well worth the price and if you are a tweaker and spend a little time experimenting the results will be well worth the time. I think I have gotten them as good as I can but I have two more sets to play with so maybe there is a further improvement to be had. Just for kicks I put the silicone tips back on and all the above comments completely collapsed to good sound, but nothing like I had gotten to with the modified tips. It's like the difference between a great pair of dynamic speakers and a tuned set of Acustat electrostatics. Get a set of these and play around with them. I'm sure similar results can be had with other brands of earbuds. Update 2: I believe difference in sound quality is the result of how the soft silicone tips can easily compress and distort the shape of the canal between the earbuds and the outlet into the ear canal. Also these tips have a straight shot(except for the wax shields which I removed) into the ear canal. When I trimmed the tips to the original length I noticed that the tips no longer were bottoming out in the ear canal and there was some distance between the tips and the eardrum. There was also an immediate marked improvement in comfort. There was a cross support at the end of the original tips that was there to prevent the silicone tips from collapsing but also reduced the clear cross sectional area to be reduced by my guess 40% without any compression of the silicone tips. If the tips compressed when inserted it would reduce the cross section even more. This could be causing all sorts of reflected sound waves to be created internally in the barrel, smearing the timing and phase relationships before exiting. Just a theory, but the results speak for themselves. There really is that much of a difference. I'm sure the same types of result will be had with other brands and some experimentation.

Nice fit, nice sound, great isolation
I bought the Comply Tx-500 foam tips to use with my Ultimate Ears Super.Fi 5 Pro earphones. This is the model Comply's web site indicated fitted my phones and it was correct. Before ordering, I suggest you visit Comply's site and use their selector tool to identify the tip model right for you. I've never had much luck with the silicone tips that come with in-ear phones, and the foam cylinders UE included, which worked ok for me, have deteriorated, so I was on the lookout for a good replacement. The Tx-500 is comfortable and the outer surface being smooth means that it won't fill up with dirt too quickly. If you order this set from Amazon, you get the medium size, which "fits most". It is also available from Comply's web site in small and large, and in a set with one pair in each size. My ear canals are, I guess, a bit on the small side. The mediums work but next time I'll try small to see if that's better. I was very impressed with the sound isolation - I typically use the earphones on airplanes, so that was important to me. I've tried various noise-canceling headphones but never liked any of them. The Comply tips worked great in that regard, and I got good sound quality from the UE phones. I highly recommend the Tx-500 - just take into account which size is best for you. Edit: I have tried to get Amazon to specify that the size is "Medium". They changed it from not specifying the size at all to "Small/Medium", which is not correct, and rejected my second attempt to correct it. Comply doesn't make a "Small/Medium" - these are Medium. Edit 1/19/10: I see that Amazon gave up on listing the size - sigh. Also, I just returned from a trip where I spent many hours listening to the earphones through the Comply tips. They were very comfortable even after extended use and were also easy to insert and remove.

Comfy!
I love these foam tips. They are comfortable to wear and fit my abnormally small ear canal perfectly. They stay put and keep my UltimateEars TripleFi's in my ears comfortably for hours at a time. They isolate sound quite well and the earwax filter keeps the wax out of the drivers while also allowing sound to pass through unchanged. They last quite awhile, but they do seem to have one similar flaw... most of the time they will begin with a hairline crack on the side and you will know it is time to change them right away because that crack will extend very quickly the next time you put them into your ears. I'm knocking a star off because of the price, these things are quite expensive and I find they must be replaced after about 2 weeks of heavy use. They are excellent all around, but I wish they would last a bit longer.

Perfect fit for AKG N5 hybrid
Try as I might, I could not get a good seal with the tips that came with my new AKG N5 hybrid earbuds. These fit perfectly for that model though Comply could not confirm. I figured that they were cheap enough so I bought them. The AKG buds have a Personal Fi program that is a non medical hearing test. With these I achieved a good seal and successfully completed that test. I have small ear canals so opted for the small ones. I’m sure I will order these again, though I wish they came in a larger economical patch of ten. Excellent product

Much better than rubber dome tips
6 months of use as e-drum and stage drum monitors - the tips did their job well, muting high frequency noise and retaining the bass from the in-ears. I would not use them when exercising, walking/running in public spaces, driving, etc. because your situation awareness will decrease without the high frequencies (unless your headphones can transmit these, of course). First time buyer? I'd recommend that you buy the assorted pack that comes with 3 sizes and spend some time with each size. A tip too small won't seal as well as a bigger one, and that's critical. The foam seemingly becomes a bit softer in time, which makes it more damage prone during transport and when inserting into the ear -- but softer foam seals better. You'll see people squeezing them hard before inserting into the ear, but that will cause the foam to crack quickly or detach from the plastic core. It's better to heat them up to body temperature (with hands or breath) which will soften them up in under a minute, then squeeze lightly and gently push into the ear while the foam is still warm.

They feel like ear plugs for air shows
These are ok. They’re not the best and they’re not going to blow you away. They feel like earplugs you use to dampen noise at air shows and after a while they kind of hurt my ears to be honest. I decided this material wasn’t for me and have moved on to get some silicon replacements from another brand. These are just ok for short term use. Not amazing, not terrible. Just ok.

Not going anywhere
Stay in place, comfortable, and sound like an entirely new set of earbuds - used on Linsoul KZ ZS10 Pro. Would recommend getting the sample pack so you can choose from S/M/L.

Best tip on the market.
I've used off brand foam tips, rubber, and these are 110% the best earbud tips. After about 3 weeks of use still no softening of the foam itself. It fits super comfortably and doesn't make the inside of my ears itchy like other earbud tips. Got these for my kbears and they work and fit perfect.
