How loud is this compared to other dyson vacuums?

Don't know about other Dyson's, this is my first but it is loud, I have all tile floors and wish it was a little smoother, however it is amazing!!! easy to use and all accessories are right at your finger tip. Love this vac.

does it scratch hardwood floors when dragged?

I have hardwood veneer floors and the Dyson does not scratch it.

What is the suction power?

Agreed, the suction is awesome, pulls up my throw rugs as well. It's able to get up a lot of fine dust that my other vacuum missed.

Can I clean couch with it?

YES!! It comes with an attachment to clean upholstery. I have cleaned muddy paw prints, pasta sauce, and chocolate off my silver gray couch with just a little spray bottle of water and this vacuum.
