Honest ratings and good quality
I used to use the incandescent blacklight bulbs but recently switched to those LED blacklights. I mostly use them for small to medium rooms, typically a size of a two car garage (smaller than 200 square feet). Here is a list of blacklights which I bought from Amazon. 1. The incandescent backlight bulb which is 70W, I used one bulb to light up a room, not efficient light and it looked weak, the wattage rating was honest but it became scorching hot after minutes of use and I stopped using it. 2. The 18W UV blacklight bar was bought on Amazon from another seller, worked well but it had dishonest wattage rating (20% lower than advertised). 3. HouLight 10W LED UV blacklight was highly efficient and works to my satisfaction and two would cover the area pretty well (maybe even one light would do). Good quality and measured wattage matched with advertisement. Not much heat during the use. Highly recommended. 4. A very similar looking 10W LED blacklight I bought from a different brand. At first I thought it looked almost identical to my HouLight but after a very close look I realized the LED chips are smaller and the cable was much thinner, also the wattage rating was dishonest (10% lower). Overall a less quality light and not recommended. In summary I found it wildly common that LED lights on Amazon have dishonest wattage ratings, as layman usually don’t have the tools to discredit what was advertised, it is still rampant on Amazon and even more so with the high wattage LED lights. That’s why I bought the wattage meter to measure all of my LED lights in my house. By all means wattage isn’t the only virtue but roughly represents the output light for most common LEDs. Rule of thumb is that a 50W LED (blacklight or not) light is close to the size of a shoe box due to heat requirements and so on -- you get the idea. So I would not trust a cheap and small “high wattage” LED light (blacklight or not) as they cannot defy physics, I also will never buy from the same seller again if their LED lights have false ratings. Again for small to medium size rooms there is no need to go with big wattages anyways, as 10W-20W LEDs are typically adequate. With blacklights it’s kinda tricky since there isn’t much visual light (well, it’s UV). You would use them in the dark with fluorescent tapes and neon paint or similar things to decorate the space, the power of the light will then be revealed and the decorations will glow wildly even from a big distance away.

Cured Emulsion For Screenprinting
I specifically purchased this light to cure emulsion, the type that you use for screens when making t-shirts. Right now I am using a Polycol Multi-Tex Red Dual Cure for use with platisol ink. My main thing, when looking for lights, was the nm which this one falls over the 385 nm range, which is what I wanted. I got two 10 watt lights, the main reason being that I knew that I wanted a quick exposure and did not know how strong these would be in terms of distance, specifically for the curing purpose. I was pleasantly surprised to see that they were well constructed, even if the LED’s themselves were small, they are very, very, strong. I was able to cure a 23 inch screen from about 7 inches above the lights. I exposed for a little over 2 minutes, which I really didn’t need to, I actually over-exposed, but especially happy with how well it did it’s intended purpose (for my use). I was little flustered that there’s no switch on the lights, but then realized if I plug them in to a surge protector with a flip switch, it works fine. My big thing with the lights is that I need them to go on at the same time to ensure uniform exposure. Anyway, I highly recommend these, especially if you’re a hobbyist who has been using something from Ryonnet (such as their exposure light) because this is more uniform and very powerful.

Works great but not water proof!
NOT WATER PROOF! The seal on the back for the compartment that contains the circuit board is like hot glue and does not create a seal. I’ve had this light for a while and used it for indoor use only. This Halloween I wanted to use it outside but water got in the back a fried the unit. I should have thought about that but still frustrating. It works great and very bright, you have to watch your eyes. 10 watts has been plenty powerful for every use I wanted the light for. But won’t last forever.

Exactly what we needed!
I bought this light for our light station in my early child care environment. It is perfect! I selected it based on size & reviews. I haven't attached it yet as I need it for my presentation next weekend. Its just the right amount of light & works in a dark or even lit room. We’ve enjoyed exploring homemade glow slime, strategically filled test tubes, clothing, manipulatives, paper under pizza pan, notes written with invisible ink pen, and so much more. The possibilities are endless. It light up a decent size area. I would probably buy more than one if its a large area. Works fine for our kiddos dance parties in my small livingroom. I definitely recommend this light!

Good light for clearing yellowed Thorium glass camera lenses!
I purchased the HouLight for an unconventional use, to remove the yellow-amber cast from vintage Thorium glass camera lenses. You see, many camera lenses manufactured from the late 1940’s until the late 1970’s used radioactive Thorium in some of the lens elements because of its refractive index properties. The radiation is a non-issue, the lenses are safe to use, however the radiation does cause a slow yellowing of the balsam used to glue the glass together. This yellowing throws the color balance off and makes focusing more difficult. The solution to Thorium yellowed lenses? UV light. Exposure to a strong, steady UV light source over hours to days normally clears almost all of the yellowing from affected lenses. Some people just set the lens on a sunny windowsill for months. Sun UV works, however it is slow and causes heat buildup in the lens which can cause lubricants to migrate into unwanted areas. Some use desk lamps known to produce a high amount of UV, however this is a slow process. I chose to try the 10 watt LED UV HouLight. The HouLight has a flat back housing and a flat glass lens, perfect for use to dose lenses with UV light. I set the light on a table then used a rubber fens hood as a spacer between the lens and the HouLight lens. Any 1/14 to 1 inch spacer which can hold the lens up without blocking the elements will work, but a rubber or metal lenshood is easy and effective. Open the aperture of the lens fully and set it on the UV light. Plus the light in and let it go for 8 to 10 hours, then check your lens to see how much the yellowing has reduced. If it is getting clearer, set the lens back on the opposite end and dose another 8-10 hours. Some lenses may take much longer. WARNING!! Do not sit there and stare at the UV light. UV rays cause eye damage, especially in close proximity to an intense source.

Smaller than I expected
Did a decent job in a 20x30 room with 2 lights. Did have one fall off a table and the transformer inside shorted out and blew. Have to see if I can salvage it but it's inoperable currently.

Finally some REAL UV lighting online!
Product arrived fast and was packed nicely. I'm very happy with it and it works great. This is exactly the type of lamp I needed. Neon colors around it just awesomely glow in the dark, and are fully highlighted due to the effect of the pure UV light in that LED. Unlike what I previously bought online, it seems like this UV light is simply emitting UV only, and is not mixed with deep-purple or white light to enhance its brightness. People don't understand sometimes, about authentic UV lighting - that it is not about how bright the UV lighting itself looks, but it is about how bright the objects appear when lit by/around it. This is extremely important for me, and this lamp works great!

Nice unit, well made, and EXCELLENT customer service!
This light is really nice and works great...and the seller has EXCELLENT customer service. The light I originally received was fine and worked well, but after a few uses it quit working. I let them know about the problem, and they had a new light coming my way the very same day! The light doesn't have an on/off switch (so you can use it outdoors) and doesn't like to be plugged/unplugged many times - so use a power strip or power cord with an on/off switch with it and you won't be disappointed!
