Excellent value
A+. I was shocked at how quickly, and perfectly this product sharpened my kitchen knives. I sharpened about ten knives, to a very sharp edge in less than a half hour. That includes unboxing. I work with my hands for a living, so maybe I had an advantage. My girl of ten years watched me sharpen, and I’m confident she can do the same, in the Sam’s amount of time. Keep in mind, this is not a professional grade sharpener. However, it is a great sharpener to have in a kitchen for quick sharpening. Great product!

worked like a charm
Easy to set up, easy to use. Sharpened about half a dozen pocket knives. Only took about 3-5 passes on each side of blade and wallah, sharp again.

Very good, but not perfect
All knives will get dull from use. ALL of them. There are no knives that don't ever need to be sharpened into infinitum that get regular use. The Work Sharp Combo Sharpener is the right solution for:1) People who do not, will not, cannot, won't, refuse to and hate to sharpen and hone their knives.2) People who can hone, but who eventually have to restore the knife to adjust the grind on it, or put simply, people who don't put their knives on diamond sharpeners for much too long and then dull the hell out of them past the point where diamond stone hand sharpening isn't doing enough to reprofile the blade.3) People like me who pick up good knives at thrift stores and the like that were abused by folks mentioned above and who needs to go through a number of them to save hours of work with hand stones. My recommendation would be not to be in the first or second group listed. Hone your knives between uses. Sharpen on diamond hand stones periodically as needed. I have a number of $150-$200 chef knives (new, retail) that I bought second hand that are as dull as the back edge of my butter knives. I don't know why people who can't be bothered to sharpen a $200 knife would buy a $200 knife, but I digress. Their loss, my gain. But if you find yourself in need of a power tool for knives, this one is ok. Not great, but useful. Here are the pros and the cons. Let's start with the good:1) Works as advertised. If you place it in, stay in tune with the alignment angle guide and move it at the recommended one inch per second alternating passes on each side, it removes material and sharpens an otherwise dull knife.2) I had watched some videos yet still found myself a little surprised at how compact it is. This is a good thing.3) Changing belts is a breeze. Seriously easy to do. No muss. No fuss.4) Replacement belts are affordable and can be bought in varied grits which is a realy plus.5) Very stable on the surfaces I use. Doesn't slide or vibrate around at all.The cons:1) Included sandpaper belts are fairly abrasive. Under magnification, they really cut fairly deep into the edge. What this means is that they cut "teeth" deep enough that it's hard to smooth it out on a stone unless you use a very, very coarse one. I suspected this would be the case, so I ordered different grit belts to help smooth out those cuts before moving to ceramic.2) Speaking of ceramic... The included ceramic stick is not great. It's small, unweildy to use at the appropriate angle and too smooth after that rough grit sandpaper to really smooth out the grooves in the edge.3) The sharpener limits you to one sharpening angle. While I understand this helps maintain a low price point, I don't want the same edge angle on all of my knives. I have found that I can free-hand a bit, though it's not wise if you don't have a steady hand. Suggestion, Work Sharp: Sell face plates with different blade angles. I'm ok with paying more for a 15 and a 20 degree angle guide face plate.4) It's not obnoxious, but it is a little noisy. I am ok with that.I think it's better than a 3, but closer to a 3 than a 5. If you have to plow through a pile of dull knives, it does speed things up, but I still think those who value their knives will want to finish with some hand sharpening after use.

Great for your hunting bag, or bug out bag.
I have a WorkSharp Ken Onion Edition sharpener. It's amazing. I ordered this sharpener for those times I don't need an odd angle, or a large setup. Also, I ordered this with the intent of it being an addition to both my hunting rig, and my bug out bag. Having tested recently in the field, it DOES work even when using the power inverter that's factory built into your vehicle (typically their not made for high drain devices), and it does the job well. The unit is quiet when compared to other units, and easy to use as there is one angle that is rigid and impossible to go past the guide setting. You can order Red Label Abrasive belts to give yourself more versatility for really dull knives (or really sharp knives you are just looking to touch up). All in all this is an affordable alternative to the more expensive options in the lineup, it is a great alternative for a bug out bag (and works well with solar panels), and is also a great alternative for your hunting gear to keep those field knives sharp. It is also well received as a gift. I highly recommend for an affordable sharpening solution

Great Knife Sharpener!
This Work Sharp Combo Knife Sharpener is fantastic. I'm one of those guys who could never get a knife sharp with a whetstone. Seriously. With a whetstone I would get close to a good edge then ruin it with one bad stroke. I've also been known to purchase a new knife before a hunting trip because all my other knives were dull. After receiving this sharpener I read the instructions and also watched online videos. The machine is very straight forward, no adjustments to make at all. I was thrilled with the first knife a ran through the machine. In no time it was sharper then it has ever been. RAZOR Sharp!! The guided ceramic bar built in to the machine is the important final touch. I've had this machine less than 24 hours and have already sharpened a dozen pocket knives and several filet knives that I thought where non salvageable.Prior to purchasing this machine, I also purchased the Work Sharp Precision Adjust Knife Sharpener. It also works fantastic but cannot harness thinner blades like small pen knives and some filet knives. If someone wants a sharp knife, whether a carry knife, hunting/fishing knife or a kitchen knife, the Work Shop COMBO Knife Sharpener cannot be beat! Great product. Get some extra belts because you are going to use this machine often.

Good service.
Nice machine. Had to return it - too small for my needs. No problem with return process.
