CKG Sand Scoop for Metal Detecting, Stainless Steel with Hexahedron 7mm Holes for Beach Treasure Hunting + Plastic Handle

Tough choice between 4 and 5 stars. Excellent quality. Seems very durable. My only hesitation is that the holes are a bit small. If the sand is only in the top few inches and very dry - it's perfect. If the sand is deeper than a few inches and has moisture in it, there is some difficulty in getting it to sift with holes this size. It gets tiring having to shake the scoop that vigorously over and over again with every dig. So, I'll go with 5 stars just because for what it is, it's excellent. It is well made, and is exactly as advertised. But as a new metal detector user, I had no idea about what hole size would be preferable. Most of the time, it won't be the "right tool for the job" if used for damp sand - which is most of what I find myself sifting. But that's my issue, not the scoop's.***UPDATE: now that I have more experience metal-detecting, I have really grown to appreciate this scoop more. I rarely even try to sift wet sand anymore (unless I'm actually in the water, then it's very easy). Instead, I just scoop the wet sand and dump it all out about a foot from the hole and check it again with the detector as needed. Much faster and easier.

This scoop is used to dig up targets metal detecting. It is made of stainless steel and is rugged as can be. Still as nice as the day I started using it and I have used it hard at the beach digging in sand and rocks. Small enough to get into tight spots and not so big that when it is full of sand or mud or rocks that you can still lift and handle it.

Small and compact. Cant get your hand down in scoop to remove items. Have to shake them to tbe mouth of the scoop to remove. Built solid for foot pushing.

Good quality but very heavy to carry around. Works great in sand at the beach

I purchased a few different types of scoops mostly by accident and kept this one because it was much sturdier than the rest. So far it's holding up great.

Strong and well made. Cost more than Chinese junk but will outperform.

The scoop is too heavy really to operate at a easy pace so I ordered the plastic one instead and little digger so will not be using the metal one even though it is stainless steel it is nice looking and it also needs a handle for the price that I paid it should have came with a handle and a different scoop
