Must buy
This is a nice mitt and I got it for my son who is a lefty and plays first base. This was a great value, given any baseball player parents know, the price can be high! The size is slightly big for my son, but it will give him room as he grows. He didn’t believe it was game ready and asks for it to be more broken in. The color is beautiful too!

nice glove
I don't play baseball or softball but I'm just a dad of a 9 yr old who plays in a local Pony league and loves baseball and wants to pursue it. This is a great glove for my purposes. I play catch with my son for about 30 minutes a day after work. The glove was really easy to break in. I put glove oil on it twice and also did the hot water treatment about a week later, beat it with a glove mallet and used a Lizard Skin glove wrap on it for a few days and most importantly played catch with it and it is broken in nicely now. I flared out the thumb, curled the fingers, and broke in the hinges so it closes thumb to ring finger while using it two in the pinky. It has a really nice deep pocket like it should as a pitchers glove. The leather is good quality and I can tell that this glove will last years based on my usage. It's not a Heart of the Hide or A2K or anything but I'm also not paying $300-400 for this either nor am I pursuing a career in baseball. For my son, I will get him a nicer glove but for me this is perfect. Not much a fan of the color as it’s that wine red color. I was expecting or hoping it would be more of a brownish tint but it’s not a deal breaker.

Great glove
Not quite sure what to expect, as this is marketed as sort of a low to mid range glove. The need was something that would last at least a couple years (2 seasons a year) hopefully, but also fit well, and be easy to break in. Rather than starting with the $300 models that are certainly quality but harder to break in, figured this was worth a shot. And, very impressed. Build quality is good. Started off taking conditioner to the material and did notice a bit of a red tone rub off some, but that actually gave a nicer dull finish than the almost shiny that it had out of the box. Finding a lefty glove for a good price is always a bit harder. This breaks in well after a few hundred throws. Used some 1lb weighted balls to aid in the speed of this and it seems to do what I would expect from a hammer it to soften and then catch with it, all in one step as intended. My new break in method is going to certainly include throwing weighted balls at the glove now. And, the added bonus is the user can report on the padding effectiveness as you toss the ball harder and harder during the break in. And happy to report the padding on this seems to be doing well. This was the first “first base” glove used, and a noticeable difference from standard utility gloves to help protect during all the throws expected in the field.

Works really well for baseball not so much for softball.
I only use it to play catch with but the glove works as expected. Seems to be quality and holds up really well. You will need to break it in. The glove is designed for baseball so obviously it works best for that but can be used for softball but is a little small for it.
