For a 4-year-old, they are a little bigger than I expected. Otherwise, this massive pack features a wonderful mix of colors, fruits, and animals that my daughter absolutely loves. The metal construction is durable, and they snap tightly without pulling or slipping out of fine hair, and she can use them herself without getting upset. Cute but NOT non slip
Although these barrettes are adorable. I was expecting them to have a no slip grip, asked stated in the description. They are just plain metal barrettes.
