Best for Insulation, increased fire resistance and/or Humid conditions.
Overall the least likely to cause other problems that retrofitting insulation in an old house can cause. I also use it to increase fire burn through times from outside in to the house and from in the house to other rooms. Excellent choice in Frame homes' built without installed fire-blocking. Definitely not your house mouse's first choice for habitat. It does not readily support Mildew or other Bacterial growth when moist.

easy to cut
Could not find rock wool in a roll so purchased the boards. Also purchased the saw to cut them with. They were not heavy and cut easy, just made a lot of dust.
