This very good Kill switch operates in two modes, depending how you wire the switch. Perfect for Mastercraft replacement installation. The $12 competitor does not work as it works in only one mode and is the reverse with a live closed circuit when the Y clip is pulled from the switch .

After having to return several of those cheaper "kill switches" that don't kill the engine when the lanyard is pulled. It's nice to finally have one that does what it's supposed to do. Now if I fall out of my fishing kayak, my electric trolling motor will stop. It cost more then the other ones. But this one actually works. I had to shave some of the side of the "key" because it was way to tight and wasn't releasing. It would pull my tied down battery box around. Will be buying another as a backup.
