These are perfect water jugs to transfer my 1 gallon drinking water jugs to! NO MORE STALE OR RANSID BAD WATER TASTES WHEN POURING A GLASS OF WATER TO DRINK IN MY KITCHEN OR BATHROOM!!! I have been using 1 quart clear plastic jugs made for use as liquid refreshments like purified water or fruit juices. But no matter how many soap washings or swishing with rubbing alcohol I did every 2 days, PLASTIC JUGS ARE BAD FOR YOU AND THEY MAKE ANY LIQUID SMELL AND TASTE FOUL WITHIN 2-3 DAYS! So these glass jugs are the answer for me to quick breaking glass mason jars I had been using in the past 2 months. When I wake up in the middle of the night, the wide mason jars were too heavy, slippery and hard to grip.(Breaking glass jars against the porcelain sinks is not fun when your anxious to go back to sleep!) BEST FEATURES OF THESE CLEAR GLASS PITCHERS: Slipping my middle finger into the convenient built-in oval loop handle gives me the extra comfort and safety when picking up the pitcher to pour into a drinking glass. eVEN WHEN i'M STILL HALF ASLEEP AT 3:30 IN THE MORNING! I especially like the THICKER glass quality of these jugs. BONUS: seller adds an extra pair of plastic twist caps that are light aqua blue color. The color makes them easier to see in drawers or on the floor when you drop them occasionally. I'm going to scout around for some large rubber bottle stoppers that can also do the job for sealing the bottle top.

I bought this for my elderly mother-in-law who can no longer easily manage the large, heavy gallons of milk. Yes, I know that I could buy smaller containers of milk, but I like to save a little bit of money by buying the larger containers. Anyway, I buy a gallon of milk and then I pour a portion of it into one of these jars and now she can manage the milk on her own instead of having to wait for help. I also do it with orange juice so she can be self-sufficient when she wants a glass of orange juice. The size of these particular jars is perfect, just what I needed. They are also nice and sturdy, the cap goes on securely so the milk or the orange juice inside does not spoil. For me it was the perfect purchase. I would recommend it.

Nicely made , thick glass not cheaply made. Came with two extra lids caps. which I appreciate. I would hand wash those. I see people complain about lid caps not lasting. Maybe it could be that they need to be hand washed and not put in dishwasher.? They fit the bottle perfect and I have no problems. Thanks

It takes a real hard turn to get the lid open for some reason. Not very slippery and it kinda grabs the glass, but once it moves it's pretty easy to open. That said, the lid holds the liquid in just fine. I am using this for large cans of pineapple juice and I have to shake it before each use. No leaks. The glass seems pretty thick and solid, and even though the advertised capacity is one fluid ounce less than the can of pineapple juice, there's still room in the bottle after I empty the whole can into it. It fits in my fridge and cleans pretty easily with a rinse and some clever dishwasher placement. Generally not worried about acidic juices now, and I've gotten used to the grippy lid. This is really exactly what I wanted. Pretty happy with it! Just wish I could buy one instead of a two pack.

Love these glass pitchers. They fit in our refrigerator door, and are filled easily. We use them for juices so no funny plastic or metal taste , just juice.

These clear glass pitchers are perfect for pouring that left over coffee and storing it in the fridge to make ice coffee later in the day. It holds hot coffee and the thickness of the bottles makes it safe for both hot and cold. It fits nicely in my refrigerator. I can see using these bottles for all my drinks that on my door (ie: milk; juice; etc.). Everything would fit better in that space.

Nice, heavy pitchers. We use them for filtered water, so washing is not an issue. They would not fit in my dishwasher, however, so that would be a caution if you wanted to use for milk or juice.

Very substantial and pours very well. Actually, it would be great if the bottles weren't so heavy, but then the quality might be compromised. It's good that the lid is a light turquoise since the one downside to this bottle is that the lid is easy to misplace. It is quite small. I've spent hours looking for misplaced lids. It would be better if there was some way to keep the lid attached to the bottle when taken off. Or perhaps, include two or three extra lids with the purchase?

Thick sturdy glass and they even came with extra caps incase you break one. You don't see this kind of stuff anymore.
